Interested in opinions on best bay boat that can handle inshore as well as some offshore fishing action. Looking for overall best ride along with fishability.
Currently in mind are:
Pathfinder 2200trx
Robalo cayman 226
Tell me your experience

Can't go wrong with a Pathfinder. I'd look at an Everglades as well.
You can do pretty much any type of inshore or offshore fishing (weather permitting) in an Everglades..

Do you want "the very best"? or do you want the "best for the money"?
Two different things.
ETA: One of the better ones (and expensive) is a Blackjack

I’ve been going through this search for several months
If I could find one, I’d go with any of the following-
Pathfinder
Sportsman
Robalo cayman
Blackjack
Look for big gas tanks, nice hatches that close without slamming, good rest bench seats Vs jump seats,
I went with a pioneer 22’ bay hybrid but that’s all I could find.

Those listed are also out of your price range if that’s the case.

These are almost as opposite as you can get in types of bay boats. I agree that both are high quality though.
This seems to be a regular thread. To the OP. There are many many brands of bay boats. Many will come on here and champion whatever brand they currently own.
I would recommend posting a rough budget. Then posting what you are looking for in the boat and what type of fishing you will be using it for mostly.
Do you want a boat that is light, fast, and efficient with low gunnels? Or would you want a heavier boat that rides better in rough water with more freeboard and higher gunnels? If you plan on sticking in the marsh more with the occasional trip into the gulf then the first may be your preference. If you will be fishing big open water a lot and regularly going into the gulf then maybe look at the heavier boats.
Do you want a small minimalist console or a large console with room for a head?

Yeah $60k may not hit the targets the OP has.
I’d also throw out the Tidewater 2300. Hits the price point, brand is improving dramatically and has by far the largest casting deck.

Bay boats are such a large category now. Do you want shallower draft for inshore or better ride for offshore. If you fish inshore but not truly shallow water you can lean more towards a deeper v. You can slap a trolling motor on everything nowadays.

I own a 2019 Robalo Cayman 226 and it’s phenomenal! Great ride, awesome in chop, 12” draft. I fish out of Grand Isle and it fits all the conditions I fish around the island.
The amount of storage is amazing. Room for a head in the center console if you need that. Love it.

FYI, boats prices will be increasing 10% or more for 2022 year model boats for many many brands, so if you find a 2021 model in inventory somewhere that you like then you better pull the trigger ASAP.
