They only just voted on whether to merge last month. It's gonna take a few years before it is up and running. Interestingly enough, a Belgian/Netherlands women's league was started a decade ago and faltered because of finances.

I think this won't happen unless you get assurances that the Scottish FA will retain the same role it had with the IFAB. The lack of those assurances is why the UK has distinct national leagues.

i mean you still have a separate Welsh league with Cardiff and Swansea threatening to get promoted to the EPL
