Anyone have any thoughts on the nicer hotels in Miami Beach? Considering the Setai, the ritz or the One. Would like to do the four seasons surf club but it’s simply outrageous for the dates we are looking at.

Anyone stayed at any of the above or have any thoughts? This is for 3 days and just looking to relax around a pool and the beach. Would like decent on site dinning options. Night life is not part of this trip. Must be structurally sound.

I'm going in August for the same purpose with family. I'm staying at the Diplomat in Hollywood. My sis-in-law is from the area, said you can't go wrong with the Diplomat, Ritz and one other one I forgot the name of.

My wife and I are heading down next weekend to stay at The Setai. We haven’t stayed there before, but I am happy to report back.

Have also heard great things about One.

Would live to hear what you think of the Setai. Have also heard great things about the One. It’s not as bonkers expensive as the surf club but is a bit more than the Setai/ritz for our weekend.

I’ve stayed at The Confidante (Hyatt) and The Surfcomber (Kimpton). Loved both. Both have direct beach access.

I stayed at The Lennox House last year. It had just reopened after a complete renovation and was very nice.

Following up on this for anyone interested. Stayed at the ritz. It was perfectly nice and we enjoyed our stay but the overall service was a bit lacking given the name on the door and the price. Sauna/spa still closed. A bigger party scene in the pool than I expected. Concierge and lobby staff generally lacking. But the location really is great as is their beach access and chair set up. To go from the room to the beach was a breeze and very quick. The restaurant that looks over the pool was great for breakfast.

If I was having a redo I probably would have booked the Edition or maybe the One just for a slightly more “removed” experience. Both were comparably priced.

We ate at macchialina and stubborn seed. Both of which were stellar restaurants.

Little late to help the OP, but the Ritz in Key Biscayne is perfect for this kind of trip.

We honeymooned at The One in early March. Loved it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Rooftop pool is for adults only. We never had an issue getting good poolside chairs there or at the family pool downstairs. Beach access was easy.

We never ate dinner at the hotel, but the food for breakfast and lunch was very good. So were the appetizers at the outdoor bar upstairs.

We said we'd be back.

I'll be in MB in a month, what was the covid situation like down there? Are people mask nazis? Is most everything open?

Not sure about the covid situation, but no one gave a fuss one way or another about masks/no masks and everything seemed to be open. We had one Uber driver ask if we preferred masks on or windows open and I believe Uber/Lyft app says riders should mask so I would be prepared to accommodate the driver’s preference.

The only thing that wasn’t open was the hotel lockerroom and spa. Which was sad I do love me a good steam, shave and shower on vacation.

Couldn’t recommend stubborn seed and macchliana more highly. Terrific meals.
