Would you go to Europe right now?

It seems there are some pretty good flight deals. Looking at Spain specifically. You just need to show proof of vaccination or negative test to enter. Mainly concerned about it being a hassle getting back or what the situation on the ground is.

Flights around $400 from NOLA this fall. Hard to beat!

It was fine last month. I didn't need to wear a mask anywhere, even on the flight over.
Before delta got going though.

Several of my daughter's friends are studying abroad in Europe this semester.

Not until all restrictions are lifted.

Would I go next week, yes. I really want to go to Italy around New Years but man I'm nervous to book flights this far out. I'm not generally worried about Covid but it just seems like things are so back and forth right now.

Airlines are being very accommodating right now.

I’ve got friends golfing in Ireland right now. Weather looks amazing

Neighbors were supposed to go to France in October, but are probably canceling. Too many unknowns there with needing a health card to get into places, ever changing mandates and the embassy there isn’t helping much with answers. Also what would happen if they tested positive for the trip back even though they’re vaccinated. They said it’s just too much to keep up with on top of everything else.

In regards to flights you mean? Even with "no cancellation" reservations? This would be a budget trip is my problem, so I'd be looking for flight deals.
I'd still like to go, we'll see. Hopefully things will calm down with Covid and I can book in late September or October for this winter.

In Rome now. This is night 10 of 22 of Italy and the Greek Isles. Headed to Sorrento tomorrow.
It hasn’t been a hassle so far. Just have to keep my CDC card and passport with me to get into the museums, Tuscany Tour, Colosseum, etc. Almost all eating is done outside, but some places will let you eat inside after showing the card, and a few don’t ask at all.
There’s a lot of people here, but very few Americans. Even my waiter mentioned it tonight.
Not sure if the crowds are average or whatnot as this is my first time in Italy (and Europe for that matter). Lines and wait times haven’t been long with pre-booked tickets.
Next time to Italy will not be in August. Walking on average over 5.5 miles per day has been a sweaty mess.
Like I said in another thread, if the US won’t let me back in right away, I’ll be alright.

The European Union is ready to suggest halting nonessential journey from the U.S. due to the spread of Covid-19, diplomats mentioned on Sunday.
European officers have been contemplating the transfer for a lot of the final month, with the common U.S. an infection charge now above that of the EU.
... Stress to take away the U.S. from the journey listing has additionally elevated as a result of Washington has maintained a ban on European nonessential travel to the U.S.

My parents just got back from France and Belgium last week. They had a great time. No issues.
