Blacklisted by History - Stanton Evans (Exoneration of Joe McCarthy)

One of you Baws brought up Joseph McCarthy today - and how he was right.
I had never really thought much about McCarthy before, and I hate a witch hunt more than anything in politics. So, I was always a little creeped out by him.
I spent the day in an Internet rabbit hole, and now I’m probably higher up on Moderate Merrick’s list.
In any event, I was seeking an authoritative source on the matter and Blacklisted by History appears to be it.
I’m scared to read it. Because basically it appears that Uniparty communists in our fricking government created the freaking CCP in some kind of Pacific Committee, and reading allusions to it on various internet articles - made me feel like someone walked over my grave.
I love history and I have never really studied any of this shite- but my word. Dude was framed by Deep State propagandists down to the term McCarthyism, which originated in the freaking Daily Worker. WTF? The ppl he was after worked for the fricking State Dept and CIA. 6 ways from Sunday indeed.
I am now furious bc I realized I was brainwashed by these people. My formal education in history from back in the day is how I learned who McCarthy was. The dude was legit demonized by them - just like the Bad Orange Man. He wasn’t trying to stop making movies bc he was some kind of Puritan- he was trying to get communists out of our frickING FOREIGN POLICY.
Any of you Baws read the late, great Stanton Evans on this topic? And is there a source that would condense the Verona Papers?

Yes. It’s a good read. He gets into the Verona papers. Don’t short change yourself with a condensed version.

She is a very astute Tax attorney and everyone thinks she is a ditz. She is owed an apology for claiming the MB was in govt. Andre' Carson, Keith Ellison, Obama, Illan Omar, The Squad, and so on... says hold my beer and get her out and even called her a freak & a witch.

I recommend Treason. However you may or may not view Coulter, she does a great job of documenting the Venona Papers and how many things McCarthy got right.
The sources and notes section of her book is pretty extensive, so it's not as partisan as you might think. Even if she throws in opinion, the citations and sources are good. Worth picking up a used copy at least.

Several other good books that prove McCarthy right are “Venona”, which was the code name of the operation to decode many of the cables and communication traffic of the Russian embassy, operatives and sent back to Moscow from before the war to through the 70’s. It Absolutely proves that McCarthy was exposing the commies in our government, universities and other parts of our country.
Another book which confirms McCarthy was right is “Witness”, by Whitaker Chambers. He was a former communist who grew disillusioned with them during Stalin’s reign of terror. He converted to Christianity and did all he could to fight communism. He eventually became chief editor for Time Magazine and testified at the McCarthy hearings. He as pilloried as a kook and liar by our own media and other sympathizers within our government. One interesting tidbit is that he was able to get a meeting with FDR and told him about communist working in his cabinet and named Alger Hiss. FDR basically dismissed him and would take none of his calls or meet with him afterwards. Hiss was on the Yalta team and fed info that got back to Stalin which enabled Stalin to take all of the eastern block of European countries at Yalta. Amazing how these commies are now treated as martyrs while McCarthy and Chambers have gone down in history as vile and evil.

I was re-watching the actual hearings from way back when and you could clearly see the GOPe swamp in action in hindsight.
Prescott Bush hated McCarthy and called him names. This is when I knew McCarthy was accurate back when.

I’m not sure how much US and world history we were taught in our educational institutions after the early 1900’s is accurate and factual. The trouble with a lot of recorded historical “facts”is the political bias of those men and women who recorded the historical “facts.”

Same. During the 20th Century was when Marxists infiltrated academia and literary culture. They wrote the history books.
I don’t think that these Marxists were necessarily spies; or that that they were necessarily involved in a planned conspiracy. However, they were truly brainwashed malcontents who used this toxic ideology as a worldview and thereby rejected God and family philosophically.
I’ve never really been a social or religious conservative. I’m just not that dogmatic if a person. But I am a believer. Deep down only a belief in a higher power can show any human the difference btwn right and wrong. I do not believe a free society can function without religion and family. And communism and/or Marxism and/or “Progressivism” substitutes government action for those forces they are missing in their own lives. As I’ve stated before, I believe most Americans who are supporting the current policies of Whispering Joe don’t even realize they’re supporting a Marxist/authoritarian regime…..they are so gaslit by lies and disinformation….they’re essentially clueless as to what’s really happening.

I remember when the Soviet Union fell and we had access to a lot of the KGB files that is was shown that many if not most of the people he was going after were working with the KGB.
