Losing players to the portal sucks.

But I’m excited for a New Era of LSU football that’s full of guys that’s going to play for the Purple and Gold regardless of who the coach is!
Give me more guys like Kayshon Boutte, Jack Bech, Neil Farrel, Mason Smith.
Just trying to bring a little sunshine guys! We’re fricking LSU, we’re going to reload, we recruit ourselves and we’ll always have talent! Plenty of guys are going to hop on the train after the coaching hire is made!

Nah, it’ll be next year. Also my last statement may have contradicted my point but that’s what happens. Lots of players follow coaches but I just want more Louisiana guys who will play for pride.

That isn't how it works. The good players go where they can win immediately, the bad players will go where there are openings.
You guys have been repeatedly told how this works, which is why you see my pic the way it is.
Its free agency, the free agencies go where they can win... there is no rebuild for them... basically 1 year.

Boutte can very easily pull a stingley next year if we start losing games and get ready for the draft.

You do see a big difference with the young players attitude.. Definitely better chemistry than what we had at the beginning of the season.

We haven't lost anyone yet. The portal is a smart business move for good players to weigh their options. Just because they enter the portal doesn't mean they will 100% leave, but you know that. It's the best case for them while they don't know who the new coach will be. I'm sure the new coach will talk with each of them to convince them to stay
