Could it be Dabo?

I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I get the sense that Woodward has a guy and he’s proud of him. Who fits that bill? Dabo, Fickell, Fisher, Kelly, Meyer, Rhule?
I think it’s one of those guys. Warming on Dabo chances.

If it was Dabo we would know by now. Or within a couple of days.

We might as well just keep Coach Davis.. surround him with coordinators and watch out. The players would play their arse off for him.

Dabo is okay, but hos schtick is wearing on me.

Unless Dabo is an idiot no.

Dabo makes $8.3 million at Clemson, and he's done all he can do there.
It wouldn't surprise me.
On that A&M podcast somebody linked a little while ago, Billy Liucci threw his name out there.

Clemson is cooling off. I could see him wanting that attention, but he’s truly a Clemson weirdo.

He was the 1st name I heard from a credible source! Wants to be in the SEC (Unlike Riley) and tired of waiting on the Bama job!
I want to replace a National Championship winning Coach with a National Championship winning Coach!

I don’t want that charlatan anywhere near our program.

What more would he do here?

I won’t confirm this but I will say that Woodward has guy and leave it at that.

Only positive I can think of for Dabo in Baton Rouge is that there would be a church or two big enough to funnel illegal recruit money the way he's doing it at Clemson ...

You do not KNOW that "Woodward has guy."

Posted this last week, for what its worth...just my 2 cents. Matt Ruhle and Lane Kiffin would also be possibilities...anyone of the three will be announced early this week.
Only 6 Home Run Hires in Power 5Posted on 11/22/21 at 9:31 pm

There are only six Tier 1 Slam Dunk Coaches in the Power Five (Woodward signature-type hires) and only one could be named as early as next week:
1. Saban: Too old, not leaving Alabama, headed to SEC Championship, then either college playoffs or NY 6 Bowl.
2. K. Smart: Not leaving Georgia, headed to SEC Championship, playoffs
3. Ryan Day: Not leaving Ohio St, likely headed to playoffs
4. L. Riley: possible for him to come but could not be named next week as he is headed likely to Big 12 Championship and possible college playoffs, at a minimum going to a NY 6 Bowl.
5. Jimbo Fisher: Could be named next week, but fairly adamant about not leaving A&M; going to an upper tier SEC Bowl.
6. Dabo Sweeny: Could be named next week! Only going to a lower tier bowl.
All the smoke has been around Riley and Fisher (and other lower tier coaches) . Everyone has written Sweeny off because Finebaum said Sweeny has a 45 million dollar buyout and will take the Alabama job after Saban is done. That is wrong though, there is a 45 million dollar buyout which Clemson would have to pay Sweeny if Clemson fires him. If Sweeny leaves for another job he owes Clemson between 3-6 million (1.5 million more if he goes to Alabama). I contend Sweeny does not want to follow in Saban's footsteps; where he will immediately be expected to win championships every year. Time is now to move into the SEC with Texas and Oklahoma coming in (ACC will become irrelevant).
Based on the Woodward's past, look where there is no smoke...it is Dabo.

If he brings Venables with him I'm in
But I think he is waiting for Saban to retire. He's an Alabama guy.
