In looking at consensus R2 running backs (listed below), it seems each has issues. Are you guys feeling particularly high on any of these guys relative to the others?

Cook
Freeman
McKinnon
McCaffrey
Howard
McCoy
Mixon (edited to add)

1) Cook
2) Howard
3) Freeman
4) McCaffrey
5) McKinnon
6) McCoy (of course would have sooner but I don't think he plays this year)

I would also put Mixon before Mckinnon.

I like McCaffrey a lot. He got hot at the end of last year, and the Panthers are saying he’ll be the true #1 back this year. I think an extra year in the system will be huge for him, considering he’s a pretty smart kid

I’d say McCaffrey 1st, Cook next, then Freeman, then McKinnon. I’m worried about McKinnons injuries

I’d pass on Howard and McCoy and Mixon til the next round

Actually I’d wait 2 rounds on McCoy. I don’t want to lose a 3rd rounder if he gets suspended

Cook and Mixon probably have the most upside. McKinnon only interests me at all in full ppr, and I'm probably avoiding because he's going to be entering the season with an injury. McCaffery is probably really close with Cook and Mixon. McCoy is completely off my board, and I'm not picking unless he falls really far. Howard is probably the safest pick. I'm probably picking a wr though if he's my best choice at rb.

Hmm.. prior to this thread, I would have put Freeman, Howard, and McCoy all above McCaffrey and Mixon, especially in a standard. Time to re-evaluate McCaffrey and Mixon.

He’s coming off ACL. It may not be as devastating an injury as it used to be, it still has to be considered a factor. There’s only been a few to make it back to pre injury level the year after surgery.

Plus Lat Murray is not bad. He was injured to start the year. He was terrible the first four weeks. One Dalvin went down, Lat went:

7 Bal 18 113 1 17.3
8 @Cle 19 39 0 5.7
9 BYE - - - -
10 @Wsh 17 68 1 12.8
11 LAR 15 95 2 22.6
12 @Det 20 84 1 14.4
13 @Atl 16 76 0 12.7
14 @Car 9 14 0 4
15 Cin 20 76 1 17.4
16 @GB 21 69 0 8.5
17 Chi 20 111 2 24.4
Plus:
Over the past two seasons, only Ezekiel Elliott (22) has exceeded Murray's 20 rushing touchdowns.

And:
Murray has ranked in the top 20 at the position in touches and top 25 in fantasy points each of the past three seasons.

There more:

Murray was a top-12 fantasy running back after Dalvin Cook's injury last season

As others have said, I'm high on Cook and McCaffrey. I targeted and ended up drafting McCaffrey.

If PPR, he caught 80 balls last year with over 100 targets as a rookie. That's ridiculous, and he should only get better this year.

His running last year was a bit weak, as he seemed to go down easy, but I would guess he'll be better in that department. He has a pretty high floor with those numbers.

It really depends on my draft spot.

I do really like cmac and Mixon. I liked McKinnon before injury

Freeman would probably be my top though since I think atlanta offense gets better
