I guess what I’m saying is a lot of people will be fricked if they don’t take a RB in the first 2 rounds.

I don’t think there are enough can’t miss WR’s either to pull this off

Agree with you there. Most leagues will give everyone a chance at 1 of the top 12. I think if you don’t get one you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage from the start

But I think you could expand your list to 16-17 guys you can count on as RB1 or RB2 over a year when you consider guys like CMC & Kamara will catch 80 balls & a guy like Joe Mixon & Freeman will see majority of carries + passing game work.

There are guys whose numbers will be there year end, do to big games. But will they bring consistency that only a select few will?

That being said, tab your zero RB guys for us. Give me 5 that you hold the most confidence in.

Ajayi
Drake
Hyde
Royce Freeman
Dion Lewis

Would be my top 5

And you want these guys in starting slots week 1?

Well the pass catchers are generally the most consistent, which is why I wouldn’t have stopped at 12.

Y’all act like it exists in a vacuum

But yes, I could start those guys in week 1

If I told you you could have Odell as your WR1, Evans as your WR2 and say Diggs or TY Hilton in your flex, paired with Ajayi and Hyde, you’d be nuts to say no

People’s perception of these RBs does not match reality

I’m with you Gyno, people are very into the running back position this year. I’m in leagues where people are drafting Devonta Freeman and Shady McCoy over Keenan Allen. Seems like the time to zig while others zag, imo

That is not highly appealing to me. That’s part of my point; those WRs aren’t exactly fool proof. A lot of movement for WRs whether it’s new QB or new team.

Who tho? Like you said it’s not all in a vaccuum. Like guy said people are taking Lesean & Freeman over Keenan; I’m not in that camp. I’m not a Melvin Gordon, Jordan Howard or McKinnon guy either.

Nobody is full proof

Guy likes Evans puts up stupid numbers 3 out of 4 years, challenging for a top WR. One “bad” year overrides three successful ones ? Nah

Trust the Hilton data w luck under center and no other WR

Maybe it’s the WR perception that’s off

I have Evans as my WR1, but let’s be real, he’s missing Winston for 3 games & goes through waves of inconsistency

On another team I have Luck but he’s yet to throw a pass over like 12 yards in the air. I’ll believe he’s ready to air it out to Hilton when I see it.

I’d rather a

Cook/Fournette
McCaffery
Diggs / Amari

First 3 rounds if I’m picking near the end of a snake draft

Let me throw in an example to discuss:

Just ran two mock drafts with real people. 12 team Ppr, picks 9 & 10. Both of these drafts turned out almost identical

Pick 9 & 10 drafts
Hopkins
Keenan Allen
Diggs/Hilton (both available)
Ertz
Lewis / Ingram
Crowell
Chris Thompson
Hyde
Brees

So I seemed to target the same players or find the same players in both drafts. I only had one different round (Lewis & Ingram in 5th)
The tough rounds were 3,4,5. In 3rd & 4th I would have had to really reach to get a RB like Drake, Ajayi, etc. when so much good receiver talent is there. Then 5th round comes and I’m left with the scraps

That’s 3 winning WRs (1 in flex), and a winning TE in most weeks. Let’s ignore QB. But I’m not sure the RBs can keep up

You can what if all these guys

What if cooks ACL doesn’t hold
What if LF goes sub 4 ypc 12/16 games again
What if CMC can’t handle the workload
What if Diggs never cracks 1k
What if cooper is who he was last year

We can what if them all .. RBs and WRs

Then don’t start the thread if that’s your conclusion

I’d rather what if a RB who’s guaranteed touches then what if already unreliable, albeit talented, WRs who are going thru a change on their new team or with a new QB

Like the thread. I prefer to zig when everyone zags. from 6th slot I was able to get AB and Mike Thomas to start w/ everyone going RB early and often.
Everyone flipped to WRs in late 2nd and 3rd.

Lamar Miller then eat the Mark Ingram susp but you get that RB1 in week 5.

Load up on fliers late and hope one hits: Carson,Perine, Thompson, A Jones, Michel
