Nobody knows. But Mostert out of season and SF will not forget where they drafted Sermon. He has the tools.

One thing is for sure; The Shanahanigans will continue.

He was a healthy scratch from the lineup due to now cracking the top 3 RB on the depth chart. There is really nothing more to it.

Unless I have one of the 2 already rostered, I’m probably steering clear. That’s being said, I’d pick Mitchell as the back with more upside

Where they drafted him is meaningless. If he is being out performed then the better players will play

I don’t know about completely meaningless… but I agree the right staff is putting the best players on the field.

But my point in they drafted him based on something and with the injuries he will get some play time.

I don’t know why I draft and pick up the SF backfield year after year.

No, as we again see right now the 49ers are going to need multiple backs. Mitchell is the Mostert clone and Sermon should debut in his dedicated role this Sunday

- SF beat writer (tough gig )

Tampa drafted KeShaun Vaughn in the third round last year and he has seen nothing but special teams, garbage time, and inactives. Maybe Sermon was just overvalued.

SF best writers are generally more lost than normal beat writers normally are
