If they do wind up at Rendezvous - the lamb riblets is the order.

That's the first thing I told him about Rendezvous...but I thhink they want to avoid that massive crowd.

I expect they'll flip a coin between BBQ Shop and Central. Both are very close to their hotel.

my opinion the best Banana Pudding ever.

Their banana pudding might be worth the drive from downtown

I insisted on going to BBQ Shop with some friends when we were in Memphis last summer because I had read such great things. It was not good (lukewarm like it had been under a lamp all day) and I was embarrassed for suggesting it.

I like Rendezvous, to me their ribs are the best in Memphis. The Commissary was also very good, and in a better location. if you can snag the seasoning from Rendezvous, that stuff is amazing on drunken chicken at home.

It really is in a shitty part of town.

Payne's is another good bbq spot in a shitty part of town.

Holy shite!!

1. The comment was a bit facetious, I ate lunch there frequently

2. It is (or was) in a really sketchy part of town

3. Stop being a dick

Central is good.
We enjoyed a pork sandwich and beans at Paynes bbq. That was probably my favorite. We didn’t get to try Rendezvous.

Memphis bbq is overrated in my opinion. I am not impressed with Rendezvous. Cozy Corner and Payne’s are good. Also try Gus’s fried chicken. Sides below average but the chicken is excellent
