Need helping finding a Houston restaurant that I visited several years ago

I realize this is finding "a needle in haystack" request but I am going to give it a shot.
Several years ago (2014) I attended a dinner with work colleagues and I am trying to figure out the restaurant we went to.
It was kind of a neighborhood country themed restaurant that served a mix between Texas/Cajun food. Most notable to me was the gumbo had a bunch of fried seafood and they were proud of their chicken fried steak. I believe they had a daily special for the cut of steak they used for Chicken Fried Steak to include filet and ribeyes.
I don't remember the location other than north of Westheimer, east of Beltway 8 and south of I-10 close to Memorial City but it was more of a neighborhood setting similar to Magazine street not a big commercial development or strip mall.
Any help would be appreciated. I would like to go back and get the gumbo next time I'm in town.

Treebeards, Liberty Kitchen, Jonathan's The Rub, Fuads? I can't think of anywhere in that area I would consider similar to Magazine?

No it wasn't Killens. Ironically, I'm going there Friday. It was my search for restaurants for this trip that sent me on this goose chase.
