I like how it says “Please” after “Have a Great Day”

Damn, I’m old. I remember bitching about it being expensive back then because in high school I was paying .39 for a taco.

Replicating that order, as well as you can now, will cost you $10.74 after taxes. That’s 307% inflation.

Pour one out for the Chili Cheese burrito. That thing was magic.

They were fantastic. So were Frito Burritos and Santa Fe Gorditas-- as were Deluxe Double Decker tacos

Taco Bell was actually a decent restaurant 20-25 years ago

Where abouts? I’ve read some locations have them but it’s uncommon.

Chili cheese burrito was my go to growing up.

Whole day ruined if they accidentally got a piece of shredded lettuce in there. Messed everything up.

In high school (92-96) I'd often make a late night run out to the Greenwell Springs location, probably 7-8 miles from the house.

You could absolutely gorge yourself if you had $5. IIRC you could get 10 tacos for around $4.

It can still be done if using the App and all that newfangled mess. $15 can still put a hurting on two people if someone knows how.to order.

.39 for a taco

When Taco Bell Opened in my home town tacos were 39 cents and taco supreme's were 49 cents. We would get a 6 pack of tacos and a drink after football practice for under $4 and use the $1 change to buy us a sausage and cheese biscuit at the gas station the next morning for breakfast.

Or you can pay $5 plus tax and have almost exactly that order (build your cravings box). If you're not using an app to purchase fast food in 2024, you're overpaying by a lot, and that's before you consider all the free food you earn.
