I hear Mr Johns is the best steak but I’ve never been. Is it better than Crescent City?

Good list. I’d sub Out the steakhouse as I haven’t been there. Would add Mandina ‘s , maybe Brightsen’s in the mix.

Domenica
Peche
Saba (have only eaten once, but it takes Shaya’s spot)
Blue Oak
Lily’s Cafe

Cowbell has the best burger and fries in my opinion. And the best soups.

Agree wit 3 of you 4.

Galatoires ....... you really can't beat them, they night be the best restaurant in the country for eating, they don't do "gastronomy" They do food that you can eat and enjoy

Vincent's...either location..... everything on the menu is great

Crescent Cit Steak House ....... a hidden gem of a steak house.....it's a locals kind of place

would add

Sal and Judy's in Lacombe.....don't eat for a few days before going and you won't eat for a day after going , anything with the Nicholas Sauce on it is great and wherever he gets his veal chops, has to be almost a national security secret

Le Petite Grocery on Magazine.....just really good

If we're including the North shore, Sal & Judy's would definitely be in my Top 6, and favorite 6.
