It won’t because I do only have a few hours a week. It’s just that I’m okay using those hours on a single boss. I’m just super competitive. Losing is painful for most people. Well quitting is even more painful to me. I can accept losing but not quitting.
I’m not here trying to shite on difficulty and stuff. I love elden ring so far and as I have said many times..I love how accessible they made it for everyone.

Yeah, that place had a ton of secrets. There's a hidden door with 9999 HP, then there's a door you unlock through a lengthy sidequest. Cool bosses there as well. Definitely up there as one of the best places in the game. Crazy that it's optional.

Grabbed this last night. Have remained spoiler free to this point. Can't wait to dive in.

Made it to Margit to quickly realize I'm there too early. Guess I'll actually explore and play the game some more.

If you want to cheese it, respec so that you can wield Moonveil, upgrade it to +10, then spam the ashe of war with a mimic on Radagon. When you get to the Elden Beast, I'd recommend using the Adula's Moonblade and spamming the first attack on that. Or applying scarlet rot grease on your weapon.

I just beat it a little while ago with a faith/str build with the blasphemous blade.
Problem wasn't the mechanics so much, it's just a long fight due to the beasts' hp pool. Used a rune arc, made sure to keep up my holy protection spell as much as possible and got him down finally.
Spectacular game but those last few zones are brutal, feels good to have it checked off.

So.. I'm a slow player. I'm still on the first map, pretty much go until a big bad beats me and then go another way.
I've collected a lot. Leveled to 28 with my mage..
No serious issues.
But damnit, I hate exploring a new area just for some other dude to invade my game and destroy me.
Can I turn off other players coming in?
These dudes come in with armor and heavy weapons I've never seen before just to 1 hit me.

You should never get invaded by another player unless you're playing co-op (or used a special item signaling that you want to fight someone).
If you're playing alone, those are probably not other players but invading characters that are part of the game.

These are NPC invaders, assuming you're not just running around with a Furlcalling Finger Remedy active.

Took down Morgott last night. That dude was pretty damn hard without summons. Just enough tweaks to his moveset to make him difficult. Really fun fight though, love how nimble he is
I saw you can summon Melina for the fight. Watched a vid afterwards and she can singlehandedly win it for you

Question...
I've never bothered invading other players...Demon Souls remake, DS1 Remastered, and Elden Ring are the games that I have played...
With that said, what do invaders get if they successfully kill another player (i.e. what's the benefit?) and what is at risk if you invade and then lose the battle?
I guess i could easily look this up but here we are lol

I beat Margott last night as well and ventured through the Forbidden Lands and started on the Mountaintop.
Usually I try a boss fight solo a couple of times before resorting to ash summons, however this time I went ahead and summoned Melina for the first fight and it was the easiest boss of the game so far lol. It's probably a combination of being over-powered but also like you said...she did a lot of the damn work for me.
Also, I've been overly reliant on the L2 attack for my +9 runes greatsword. If I have a summons in play, it's so easy to sit off to the side and throw out 4-5 L2s and win decisively.
SPeaking of the Mountaintop of Giants...anyone else getting absolutely wrecked by these tall slender enemies early in the area? I looked up the list of enemies and I think they might be the Knights of Zamor...
Each encounter with a single Knight is incredibly painstaking to the point where I'm just ignoring them (something that I'm not a fan of doing in these games)

You lose your souls if you lose, so I'd recommend going in empty. No other real consequence other than annoying a stranger.
If you haven't, I'd recommend finding Varre by the Rose Church in the Lakes area. He gives you some of the invasion items and encourages you to test them out. (You get a couple of nicer things if you complete his "quest.")

Did they fix this on pc? I’m kinda tired of horizon tbh

Y'all nerds still playing this?

Need a little help, I’m in the Siofra well and just killed the ancestor deer spirit. Not sure where to go next. Just pop out the exit in Caelid? I see a building far away but the bridge is out. I walked as far as I could on the bridge and I see a guy standing in the distance but no way to get over there.

kind of tough question to answer without a lot more detail of what all you've done in the Siofra underground area.
Generally speaking, if you already beat both the Ancestral Spirit and the Dragonkin soldier while collecting the goldenseed in the area and other items, then you could move on to south Caelid where you could focus on Smoldering Church, Fort Gael, Sellia, and Redmane Castle (lol...)

Ran around and lit all the torches and beat the ancestor spirit, and unlocked the lift that goes up to Caelid. I rode my horse up the tornado and went as far as I could on that bridge but then it just ends.
