PUBG is responsible for PUBG losing players?

Don't mind sweat. You just say the word fortnite and it gets sweats panties in a wad.

Not really a strange concept. Although, PUBG doing PUBG things coinciding with Fortnite's explosion in popularity could be seen either way.

nah. PUBG player base is what killed it. after about 50 games in a row of 65% of the players in a survival game dying in the first 2 minutes the game loses its appeal. they really need to introduce a competitive ladder that rewards surviving more than hot-dropping, the 'trying to survive" was the only thing that separated the game from call of duty. dying doesnt have any consequence so you end up with 70 people out of 100 dropping in the exact same area and 65 of them immediately dying and requeing to do it all over again and then a massive map with only 35 players.
the new map is better tho

I'm dropping hot every time. Deal with it.

why wouldnt you? there is no incentive against it. finishing 99th isnt any worse than finishing 10th as far as rewards go
honestly i havent played in almost 4 months tho besides trying out the new map on the experimental server because of other game releases and MLB The Show has taken over my "competitive" gaming time

Heaven forbid us wanting to have a fun gun fight instead of playing loot simulator

hopefully the new "War Mode" will draw in most of the people that wanna do that so that the survival mode has a higher percentage of people that are actually trying to survive rather than just rack up kills

I want to survive while racking up kills. I didn't know hiding was ideal.

Me too. I wanna survive while consistently encountering enemies throughout a half hour game. The way it is now is a 2 minute gun lotto/killing frenzy followed by 30 minutes of 30 players on a huge empty map

I can sort of see where you are coming from. In fortnite I feel like tilted towers did ruin the flow of midgame.

PUBG is suing Fortnite in Korea to try and keep Fortnite from gaining a foothold there, because PUBG wants to gain an E-sports presence and if Fortnite takes off in Korea like everywhere else PUBG is doomed.

really? sad
what's even sadder is that PUBG is using Unreal to build their game, and most of their assets are from the Unreal store
look up what happened last time an Unreal licensee tried to bite the hand that feeds them. Silicon Knights v. Epic Games
Spoilers: SK doesn't exist anymore

In all fairness, Epic Games really hasn’t made a decent game since Gears of War 2
Everything else is a royale, tournament game or something only a hardcore PC gamer has heard of
If Fortnite hadn’t changed their formula and caught on the Twitch scene, their only claim to fame would be 2 antiquated franchises that have been recently overshadowed by Riot Games and Blizzard Entertainment. PUBG has suffered from no region locking as well since it has a lot of popularity in China for some reason and the chat is completely spammed with Asians that know no English. Idk if it will die out eventually or fester and stick around like an untreated disease ala COD, but either way, Fortnite is currently THE online game and there’s not a franchise out there that can do a damn thing about it.
Me personally, I’ll just stick to my underpowered switch and play goofy stylized first party games with whatever hit 3rd party independent titles I can find that come to it. All the PS4 and XB1 people can settle their native 4K 60FPS blood feuds over in the Internet forums.
I’m just glad I can play something like Breath of the Wild while I’m ripping out a fat one from my butthole in the toilet and not suffer that much of a drop in quality.

Have fun with that.
The rest of us will continue to suffer through being able to play good games.
