Idk why every supposed gaming sight or guide out there doesn’t mention this or let people know but you can actually get 12 stims in this game not 10 like the last one and that’s isn’t including the perk that adds an extra stim making the total possible max stim cannisters 13.

Overall I think this game is more or less a good bit less difficult than fallen order disregarding 2 or so specific instances in terms of combat. It’s platforming or movement challenges or whatever though is way more fun but also more challenging.

I just got to the shattered moon last night, and I have 6 stims already.

I'm playing on 2nd hardest difficulty, and I'm not finding the combat super challenging. There are a few spots where it can get overwhelming, but you just have to be patient and play smart.

I'm really enjoying the story so far though, and having a blast with the game.

I haven't invested a bunch of time in the game yet and just beat the guy you find in the Forest Array and am back to the ship. I have 4 stims. I'm also playing on Jedi Master (second hardest). Took me 3-4 attempts to beat the guy in the Array as I worked on my blocks and parries (to this point I haven't had to worry about those too much)

Just finished my replay of Fallen Order on Jedi Knight. Didn’t die much except for Trilla at the end. I’d like to play Survivor on Master but my brother in law said he found Survivor harder. What would you guys say?

Decided to jump in after the last patch and after it was confirmed that you could set the EA app in offline mode and still play (which was a deal breaker for me).

Been a bit of a mixed bag performance wise thus far. I'm running the game fine, but I'm extremely disappointed that it doesn't include DLSS, because the FSR implementation is kind of terrible. Obvious blurring and artifacting, even on quality mode. Even worse, if you move the graphics preset off of epic, every setting below that renders at 50% resolution without telling you it's doing so. I turned off FSR and bumped down from Epic to High and all of the textures went straight potato. I was about to just refund the game, but I found a forum post discussing the issue after someone went digging through the .ini files and noticed the resolution reduction.

As I am getting further along in the game I am getting some freezes and weird glitches (falling through floors, orbs not being able to be grabbed, etc.)

I had my first freeze/crash last night on a load screen while trying to do the Devastated Settlement force tear.

I think it the more open nature of Jedi Survivor means that parts of it can be more difficult than Fallen Order, but referring to the main story specifically, yes, I think Jedi Survivor is at least a little bit easier in most instances.

I realize this is the non-spoiler thread, but the hardest boss for me was hard mostly because I was limited in the amount of stims that were available for that particular fight.

I’m just now at the Array on Koboh and I agree with this. Combat still feels mostly the same, though the single stance seems weaker compared to some of the other stances, which is annoying because I like the single stance a lot. I feel like I’m using way more stims and dodging more with single whereas with dual wield I run through mobs fairly easily. Maybe I just need to unlock more single stance combos. But the combat is fantastic. Challenging but not relentlessly so like parts of Fallen Order.

I do find Koboh to be pretty overwhelming and wasn’t expecting it to be more open world, which I don’t find appealing in this type of game. I enjoyed the more linear style of Fallen Order. But I assume I’m still pretty early on

The major difference I'm seeing in combat is that in FO, you flat out couldn't overwhelm even basic mobs by attacking, as they would almost immediately parry you. In S, I'm finding that I can routinely overwhelm weaker mobs by either killing them before they parry, getting them into a stagger condition, or getting them so low on health that a single parry from me at the end will likely cause a finisher.

Yep. Especially in dual wield, at least for me. I actually find I need to slow down more when I dual wield because I'm constantly attacking and get ate up at times from counters

Apparently the "lose xp dying to the troll" glitch still isn't fixed. Well that was fricking lame

I’d rank my lightsaber stances as follows:

1. Single
2. Dual Wield
3A. Crossguard
3B. Double blade
4. Blaster.

I liked the blaster but it just didn’t feel right to me. The range it gives doesn’t move me in any way. I’m torn on whether or not I like Crossguard or Double Blade more. Crossguard does so much damage but I’m sooo slow. Whereas Double Blade I feel the safest in terms of defense but it doesn’t do nearly enough damage. If it did more damage, I’d use it over dual wield since I like its moves a bit more. But Dual Wield does so much damage and has so much mobility that you can basically spam square/X and still throw up block or dodge. I still like single the most and feel the most comfortable with it.

I haven’t collected the last three yet, but I’ve found myself relying more on dual wield. The special attack kinda sucks, but you can dish out a ton of damage quickly to balance it out. But like you mentioned, to me, what puts it above the others is the ability to cancel any attack and parry. That’s a life saver, and frankly, makes me more comfortable using it for groups. I carry double blade as my back up stance, mostly for the extra stamina to block the heavy blasters/groups of blasters.

I like dual wield for how it looks, but it just doesn't flow well for me. Maybe I need more points in it. I find myself using double blade 90% of the time because it just seems to seamlessly flow from attack to attack more smoothly.

I only use double blade and have beaten the game 3 times

I'm already ready for more and hoping they do groundbreaking shite for DLC.

3x?! I'm still running around pick up things. I've got the moon and Coruscant done. I've got one scrapper droid on Jedda to deal with and that will be done as well. Starting work on Kobah today

Yeah, it's consumed most of my time up. My vehicle has been in the shop since Thursday. I've been smoking pot and off work.

Now I'm just trying to find all scolls discs shards and etc.
