They're really going to do the same thing with the Switch that they did with the Classic Edition an the Amiboo figures aren't they? The Zelda trailer looked fantastic and the Mario game looks amazing. Outside of that Xenoblade 2 looks good, but I have no idea when that's coming out. Other than Zelda and some garbage (1, 2, Switch), I don't know what will be available at launch.
Overall, it was pretty standard for Nintendo. We knew there would be a Zelda and we knew there would be a Mario, but everything else is pretty much Wii or Wii U level stuff. I don't think they've learned their lesson at all.

What the hell man they are making a fire emblem dynasty warriors game? What kind of nonsense is this?

Their stream was pretty good last night. It's hilarious that Nintendo thinks $70 and $80 are acceptable controller prices.

So amazon did open preorder and closed it already?
Next option is gamestop or bestbuy. Gamestop won't let me just preorder the system and BOTW. I don't want 1,2 switch or redout or some other crap

Believe so. April 28 was a date that was getting floated around.

IGN
So it's just a port....

Nintendo confirmed that the Wii U's Mario Kart 8 is making its way to the Nintendo Switch in the form of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which will launch this April.
The Deluxe edition of the game features all of the content from the Wii U version of the game, as well as all DLC tracks and characters. Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr. will all be available as new characters, too. Battle Mode has also been updated to include Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast, including new courses like Urchin Underpass and Battle Stadium, as well as returning ones, such as Gamecube Luigi's Mansion and SNES Battle Course 1.
Gameplay for Mario Kart on the Switch was first shown in Nintendo's first trailer for the new console. In it IGN spotted King Boo was a playable character and an altered item system, which Nintendo has confirmed — players can now carry two items at once. Items returning from previous Mario Kart games, like Boo and the Feather, will also be included.
Lastly, Nintendo revealed a Smart Steering feature, intended to make controlling cars easier for new players.
So it's just a port....

Yep I'm very disappointed that they didn't make a regular Fire Emblem game for the Switch. I don't think they are gonna merge their handheld and home console games together which would be huge mistake.

Was super pumped but the more I read I start to get a little less enthused. No doubt I buy if for nothing but BOTW. The port of MK -

Maybe not, but that SquareEnix game looked just like something that would be played on a 3DS.

If they can alter the tracks to make them more compatible with 200cc and make 200cc a default online mode, thats perfect for me. Mario Kart 8 is amazing, it just sucks that you cant find 200cc games online.
200cc was the best addition to Mario Kart in the entire franchise's history. Playing the Wild Woods DLC course on 200cc is probably my favorite. It's all about timing, knowing the course and trial and error.
That was always my biggest problem with Mario Kart Online, is that once you get into the higher VRs and are playing others with high VRs, its all luck, since everyone picks the same kart and character combo and knows all the racing lines and such so it comes down to items. I feel like 200cc added a lot more skill into the equation. Especially on tracks like Ribbon Road and Super Bell Subway.

I mean, MK8 came out less than 2 years ago and has had insane updates... already has a huge fan base on 3ds and a smaller one on WiiU - it would be dumb at this point to stop support for it. I'm glad they aren't completely turning their backs on those guys

I'm still scratching my head at a voice chat app instead of having it native. Don't get it.

Our new dedicated smart device app will connect to Nintendo Switch and let you invite friends to play online, set play appointments, and chat with friends during online matches in compatible games-all from your smart device
I mean, honest question, if it does have native chat, why bother with an app?
