Can someone explain IV's to me? I see a min, max, and avg on the calc. Is everyone reporting max's?

After your first search, a new "Refine" button will appear. Power-up the Pokemon once OR evolve it, observe its new CP HP and Dust Prices, enter the new details, then click "Refine".
The "Refine" process will automatically identify if you evolved the mon (species changed) or if you powered it up. But only one at a time. Don't attempt to evolve and powerup between submissions, or powerup multiple times between submissions. The tool assumes you're taking it one step at a time.
Some Pokemon can have their IV's identified immediately, other will require up to 5 Power-Ups to know exactly which IV set it has. Regardless, you should know within 0-1 powerups if it's "close to perfect".

Incense is bringing me nothing but Rattata and Pidgeys and at least 1, if not 2, of them run away after one escape. First of all, those little shits should never escape a single ball but then to just run away? So I paid for and used an incense to then waste a ball on a piece of shite mon that just ran away? frick this game.

I've been playing Red for the last 2 days doing a Charmander only run (well, he's a Charizard now)
