Played yesterday at Cinco Ranch in Houston, it was damn hot.

Anyone got any special tricks to beat the heat effects.

No its not. It was over 100 degrees today in Dallas. I did a mile time trial outside and then did the echo bike in a warehouse gym.

I think I can handle sitting in a shaded golf cart if I can do that.

Or you can be a fat pussy and complain about the heat.

I was gonna play today but it too hot even for me. I just drink as much water as I can this time of year, I have an Rtic cooler that sits perfectly in the cart basket.

Drink a ton of water and cooler with ice/Florida Water mix and cooling towel. I'll even wrap the towel around my neck and tuck the ends in my collar, keeps you refreshed for sure.

Hydration.

Occasionally when I'm playing multiple days in a row and the heat starts to get to you easier, I get some ice to put in a cooler and dunk a towel in the cooler and put the towel around my neck periodically.

I'm waiting for them to create an air conditioned golf cart.

This is how Miguel Vega mows the grass at Three Jack National.

This.

And when Mongo gets up close to our ages he won't be able to stand the heat either.

You got that right, the heat never bothered me at all until about 45 or so.

I wasn't aware your internal body temperature changed as you get older. I guess you learn something every day.

I train pretty hard and the heat doesn’t effect me and i believe my training helps a lot with this. But my 70 year old dad can’t even play in the summer anymore. You’d think you’d overcompensate your lack of height and manhood with intelligence but you overcompensate with being a huge doshbag.

“ Heat illnesses are of special concern to senior citizens, because older adults are much more affected by summer heat. For instance, from 1999-2009, roughly 40 percent of all heat-related deaths in the U.S. – nearly 3,000 – were adults over 65 years old.

Why Are Seniors More Prone to Heat Illnesses?

When we age, our bodies become less efficient at regulating temperature for a couple of reasons. Seniors over 65 don’t sweat as much as younger adults, which unfortunately is one of the body’s most important heat-regulation mechanisms. Also, seniors store fat differently, which complicates heat-regulation in the body further.

Why’s this serious? Well, as the temperature rises, so too does your internal body temperature, especially when you’re exposed directly to the sun or extremely hot environments. Which is why seniors suffer from heat stroke more often than younger people throughout the summer.”

As people get older they typically get fatter and lazier. This isn't news. Stay in shape and stay outside and you don't have this issue at 50 or 60. 70, maybe, but there's a lot of 70 year olds that are still bad asses too.

You can make all the excuses you want, but the reason most people, old or young, can't handle the heat is because they sit in the AC all day shoving bon bons down their gullet.
