did blasting music from your cart become a thing?

On the positive side...played with both kids for the first time in about a year.

It was a good time. Recreational golf with them is an absolute gift.

If I can hear your speaker and name that tune from another hole, it’s too loud and you’re a douchebag.

Same at my club.

I walk so I don’t carry a speaker.

I’m not sure why or how it became a thing.

Where I play I run my phone through the gps deal and the sound even turned all the way up is very tame. Can hardly hear it while on the green

It's been a thing for a while.

I'm shocked it took as long as it did considering it's a recreational activity where 90% of the time there's a mobile booze cart cruising around and gambling.

Give me a cart, lots of booze and some tunes. That’s how I prefer to play the game. Golf in Scotland sucks.

And you probably couldn't walk 18 holes if your life depended on it.

I walked 4 rounds in 3 days when I was in Scotland. I much prefer the American way.

Meh….

Golfers love to talk about growing the game. Then when anyone comes to play and doesn’t do everything exactly the way it was done in the 1950’s, those same golfers get pissed….

Mobile speakers are a thing now, the world has progressed and golf along with it, just be glad those people blasting music are spending money on the game we all love

If I'm playing by myself I'll listen to music with my airpods sometimes. Until I take them out 9 holes in because I tell myself that's the reason I'm not playing good. My brother plays music in his cart because it has speakers built in, but not very loud. Playing with loud music wouldn't bother me at all but I wouldn't ever do it because I'd feel like a douche because I know it's bothering other people on the course.

Playing with buddies we listen to music, doesn’t come anywhere close to blaring.

In tournaments and stuff usually ask the guys we’re playing with if they care, never had anyone say yes keep it off
