Can you remember the name of the burnt orange driver TM used to make? Was my first driver and I used to rip that thing for only being 130 pounds.

Bubble

ETA: Technically it was a burner head on a bubble shaft.

That Redline was a great driver for distance but I always hated the sound of it. Reminded me of being an aluminum bat everytime I hit it.

remember the old Cobra drivers...They sounded like an airplane on a stick when you made contact!

Don't remember those. I've always played Taylormade or Callaway drivers other that that Redline. Buddy of mine got the Redline and I made fun of it until he told me to try it. It went 20 yards further than my Callaway so I drove to Montgomery the next day and bought one.

I still have an old TM Burner Gold head driver in a bag in my garage. It doesn't have the bubble shaft, I had it changed out but can't remember what the purple shaft I had installed is. That was long ago.

That's it! Used to love that club. I think it's ugly AF now though

I have an Cobra Speed Pro S from the late 2000s that I just replaced. It sounds horrible when you hit it well.

Anyone own the Cobra Thermoplastic / Nylon head driver ?

The head was White and it had a Red Titanium Shaft.

Daly won the PGA with it and Greg Norman use to pound it as well.

It had a weird feeling but it would pound the ball.

2 really stand out for me.

Callaway Big Bertha 4 wood. I used to smash that thing back in my late teens. Just upgraded to a 4 wood Epic speed in my current set and it is a beast.

The other was the TaylorMade Superquad R7 8 degree. That thing would hit some nukes

Titleist DCI 990 irons. I used them my freshman and sophomore years in high school before going to Hogan Apex Tours.

This was the best feeling, looking, and sounding driver I’ve ever had. As much as I like my Epic I use now it still doesn’t compare to the 510 TP.

Honorable Mention: still the best cast iron clubs I’ve ever used, I used the TaylorMade RAC LT from 2004 until the groove rule went into effect. My 8 iron and PW didn’t have hardly any grooves in them by that time but it was still hard replacing them.

I had an Odyssey Rossie putter that I loved and it was stolen. I tried to replace it several times with the same model, but it never felt the same as that one.

Ben Hogan Apex 2I
Ping Zing 1I
Taylor Made Bubble burner driver

The last one is purely nostalgic. It's like an infomercial gimmick club got picked up by Taylor Made and they put it straight to market. But gimmick or not, I had one, and I liked it.

A mini driver that's actually thin faced.

9 degree orlimar tri metal. Hit it off the deck on your 2nd shot like a 3w.
