I am decent with a driver and anything below a 7i. Long irons and woods are the downfall of my game.

Bad with potential. I haven’t broken 9, but I go hot and cold about 3 times within a round. I’ll go a stretch of 5 or 6 at or slightly above par, but then go on a stretch of 5 or 6 where I have all triples and doubles. It’s like the world’s way of torturing me by showing that I have the potential to be a serviceable player and then reminding me that I still suck.

Some days I appear to be a single digit hcp, others like yesterday I appear to be a 20. Dont know if a 74 or 90 is about to happen

15 handicap
Good Driver
Couldn't find the green on approach if you gave me a GPS, map, compass, and a local guide
Good wedge player because I'm never on the green
Above-average putter

About 10 seconds away at any given moment from raging and absolutely sending my game to the shitter

Can get close to an 80 if I'm driving well, putter generally sucks, irons average to pretty good. Beer costs me about 4-5 strokes a round, and I'm OK with that.

I am a bad golfer.

But I’ve made a lot of progress in the last year. I’m no longer an embarrassment to the game or myself.

I aspire to be below average soon.

Even though I am not good yet, I know that every bad round I play is better than sitting on the couch doing nothing.

This is something that I need work on. It reminds me of making a resolution to eat better, or work more efficiently, or something like that. I can tell myself all week that I need to enjoy the round even if I'm struggling. I need to focus on every shot even if the last one was a bad one. However, when I get on the course, it's really hard not to have bad rounds snowball.

I'd rather be 175 out than 75 out.

Start drinking soft drinks at room temperature. Also, sleep with your PW and sandy for a few nights. That will cure it.

10 pars

2 triples on horrible tee shots

This is me but doubles instead of triples and lots of 3 putt pars and bogeys. If I could improve my putting I could be a single digits HC but that's probably most serious players. My driver and iron/wedge game are pretty damn good

I have basically averaged 90 for about 5 years now. I'll go through stretches shooting mid to low 80s for 4-5 rounds. Then I won't break 90 for 4-5 rounds. Since Covid, I have practiced way more, watched more Youtube videos, etc. You would think I would see improvement, but I'm still the same guy. I still can't wait for my next round.

I was going to do mine but you already did it for me

Boring.

Hit a lot of greens and can’t putt.

If playing routinely (once on the weekends, one practice day during the week)

Usually consistent with my driver
From 200 and in I’ll be either on the green or right near the green
Pretty good with chipping inside of a 5 foot circle
Putting is the key. I go through stretches where I putt well and I’ll be at par or lower.
Then I go through times where 4-5 foot putts are guaranteed to miss on the edge, so my birdie attempts become lag putts cause I’m scared of the 3 foot comeback.
Those poor putting rounds are mid to upper 70s

I’m not much of a golfer, but I’m rock-solid when it comes to staying positive. What I do is the opposite of what it feels like I should do. Rather than submit to the urge to write off or disregard a shot, I meticulously catalog every stroke, every penalty. No gimmies, no mulligans. Then I have a record of what I should beat the next time I’m out. That way I’m always playing against an “opponent” who is my equal. So even if you have a nightmare hole, you can say... but I’m two strokes ahead of last time. That’s progress. It takes a lot of frustration out of the game. Try it!

Good driver and above average iron play on full shots.

Below average chipping and I rely on chipping with my hybrid too much.

Streaky putter.

Driving is definitely my strong suit.
