Grant Horvat in the BMW Charity Pro-Am

I don't know why, but the way he made it seem like he was playing in an actual KFT event this week made me irrationally annoyed with him.
Here are the tweets for perspective:
Twitter Link - NUCLR Golf
Twitter Link - Says Grant is -6 thru 12 on his own ball (straight from Grant's twitter)
When I looked at the leaderboard I found out he is not actually in the real event, but as a celebrity playing from the celebrity tees. He seems like a nice guy, but is the way he's treating this event completely bizarre to anyone else?

He's engagement farming and it's seems to be working.
He did something similar with a Tiger Woods video

Yeah I was like okay good for you, I guess.
Then saw the tweet saying he was playing his own ball and thought it was strange. Figured it was either a Zurich Classic situation or some kind of frickery was going on…. So I guess frickery is going on.
I’m over the YouTube golfer bro era. Realize they’re here to stay, but the engagement farming is out of control…
Will watch a Paige Spiranic video in a hot second though.

I question the sanity of any adult who watches YouTube golf. I can’t wrap my head around it, at all. Watching random people jsut play golf with nothing on the line for no reason
Especially someone like Grant Horvat. He is just a normal, not exciting, no frills good amateur golfer playing golf. How is that something that makes him millions because so many people watch. It has to be a money laundering scheme
Uh, why not go play yourself or just go stare out the window at the country club if that’s what you want to do?
Like seriously. Why don’t I just go follow around the plus handicaps at my club and watch them shoot under par in person? That’s better than watching random arse big cheese smile grant do it on YouTube and it has the same amount of meaning

Hmmm, watching good golfers play golf. Who knew that could be a thing.

Not really all that interested in his videos when he plays solo, but when he plays with pros, it's often interesting to get to see that. A little behind the scenes discussion type of thing.
Now I catch myself watching Bob Does Sports and I'm like why am I watching these guys play golf. Most of the time it's not even remotely good golf. But then I realize that channel is not really about the golf.

It’s a totally over saturated market now and they all post relatively the same content to the point where I don’t watch any of them.
I will watch a Bob does sports video because I think they’re hilarious.

I agree do not understand Grant Horvat. He's about as exciting as Christian Youth Group leader, which is what he reminds me of

Bob does sports is what YouTube golf should be. Weekend hackers having a good time. If I want to watch serious and good golf, I’ll watch the PGA.

The Grant and Scottie video was really good. Scottie is just so dang likeable and completely normal.
That was an good video tho. I'll link it below for anyone who cares..

That video with Scottie and others like that (Tony Finau for example) are what I'm referring to. Not so much his videos with Mickelson where it just feels like another youtube collaboration.

I’d probably never have known Purcell Farms was such a great track if I hadn’t seen one of their videos there. It’s a course I go play when I can now. Shot 67 last time

Not watching YouTube golf I would imagine.

But it's totally cool to watch a bunch of 18-22 year olds play a children's game for a made up trophy.

Can we stop using this place as an actual source? Every time I've seen something posted from them on here ends up being some made up BS.

You’re joking right? I’m sure I’ve seen you post about being a fan of YouTube golf not that long ago, what happened?

You definitely talked about how good Grant is in that past, what changed?
Not even a year ago

Grant is who I would like to see the most. For a guy that played low level college golf he’s legit
