I could see him winning tOpen that’s right up his alley and he’s been incredible tee to green despite the haters that don’t like his pre shot routine
He can win at any of the remaining major venues this year. Just needs to putt reasonably well.
Homie was #1 SG T2G in both his last two measured tournaments, and people are acting like his ball-striking is holding him back. The guy just won a tournament with a decent field where he LOST strokes on the greens. Do people not realize how rare that is?

Shhhh. Let 'em hate. Speith is rounding into form. Love it or hate it, if dude gets his putter back it's game over.

So I was hearing that it was the best field ex The Players and the Master's.
With his swing change, he's basically gotten rid of his snap hook off the tee which was basically the only thing holding him back. He's one of the best putters in the world so that should come around again.

This.
Golf needs Brandel until a different voice emerges. Everyone in and around the Tour is mostly an aww shucksy, nice guy, corporate robot.
We need villains - Johnny Miller used to be the commentator everyone hated bc of his loose filter, so now we need Brandel.

TBH I think his shtick is hilarious and I love the melts he causes so at least it's entertaining

Yea, but Miller won - a lot. Chamblee is just a talking out of his arse mouthpiece.

For me it could be literally anyone - I just think the sport needs a heel regardless. To each their own tho.

But I will not be copying that preswing routine.

I'm a fan and wish him the best every week...but it is simply a fact he isn't the player he was a few years back.
Even as he won, Cantlay was quite unfortunate with that bunker lie.
And let's not forget Straka's melt on 18. He was in prime position in the fairway for a playoff or outright win.
Again, I'm a fan, but he putted like arse and his competitors all made unforced errors.
Even as he won, Cantlay was quite unfortunate with that bunker lie.
And let's not forget Straka's melt on 18. He was in prime position in the fairway for a playoff or outright win.
Again, I'm a fan, but he putted like arse and his competitors all made unforced errors.

For sure, but we all pick up little things we see the best pros doing. If Tiger started doing something different, you'd see guys trying it on the course within a week. Bryson is another example. I'm filing this Spieth routine right next to Billy Ho's putting walk up.

But that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes in this sport. Spieth has been on the other end of that bargain plenty of times in his career as well.
He was damn near +16 SG T2G this week. That is peak Tiger level shite, and ball-striking travels and provides a higher floor and more chances over the long run.

Not to be rude, but I don't think you are saying anything the rest of us don't think.

Played golf at a local course in the DFW that used to play with Spieth in early college days. Said he was extremely irritated when he didn't get a wedge within a few feet of the hole. Dude said that he realized Jordan was going places just based on the way he could execute and his mentality when he was close.

I cringe when I watch Billy. He looks so scared to address the ball it's so timid
