This disproves my point how?
That an experienced college golfer who was 5th best on her team shot 13 over par over 3 days at an event, yet you think a high school kid is "expected" to perform similarly at an LPGA event
Again, I don't think you have any idea how bad a lot of P4 womens golfers actually are.

That an experienced college golfer who was 5th best on her team
So the 3rd worst golfer at the worst ACC school shot 80 or better 3 rounds in a row
How you think that hurts my argument is wild

You are 100% correct on this.

They are 15 and 16 now and they made it to Augusta in 2022 and 2024 - pretty crazy …

I think this is quite different over the past 2-4 years - I’d say last year is really the first “Shirt Game” class to be signed - meaning these are kids who came to golf after watching The Short Game on Netflix - I’d say you will see a huge improvement from last years 2025 class through the 2029 class - the 2027 class is crazy competitive on the girls side - they go by the scoring differential and it used to be a -2 would get you anywhere you wanted now a -3.5 can’t get into B1G / SEC - the growth is certainly there on the girls side IMHO

Cool. What schools are talking to her?

Good for her.
She is a pretty girl and has a nice golf swing.
All I know is girls golf is better than it was 40 years ago.
Actually, junior golf is better overall.
Golf keeps getting deeper and deeper at the top.
Those KF players are so good.
How many scores in the 50s do we hear about each year?

Thanks sir - she just got back from an official visit earlier this week - I’ll post once she commits - but she don’t like me yapping about her so out of respect for her I’ll keep it on the down low - she told the coach she wants to
Make a final decision shortly after she takes her SAT’s
Thanks again for asking sir

My man, I gave you actual data from other college girls who got sponsors invites last year in LPGA events. They came from Arkansas, Duke, Pepperdine, and Oregon St. All those girls performed as poorly or even worse than Kai Trump, and they are active P4 college golfers, not juniors in high school. Are you incapable of having an honest argument?
FWIW, the courses for the Chevron/Mexico Rivera you used are significantly more difficult than where the Annika is played.
In 2022 at the same course Kai played at, an Am ranked about 600 in the world shot 80-82, which is very similar to what Kai shot.
The 75 was impressive. The 83 was not that different than what I would expect most P4 golfers to shoot.

My daughter is 15 and entering her 3rd year of junior golf. She is probably better than most girls who have only been at it for 2.5 years. Plays from the whites now (6,000-6,200 yds) and can shoot anywhere from a 78-85. Trying to get better at avoiding a blowup hole or 2 every round. As a freshman, she is one of the best 2 on her HS team. Not really important though as HS golf is just a team experience thing and is pretty much meaningless as far as recruiting goes. She has played GSGA the last 2 seasons and has finished near the top of the standings each year. Moving into more 36 hole events this year with Hurricane Tour, Junior PGA, and PKBT. Maybe AJGA if the opportunity arises.
There are a lot of Junior girl golfers. She is in between pretty good and elite. Closer to pretty good but working to get to that next level. Might have started too late to pull it off within 2 years. The elite level (girls who go to P4 golf powerhouses) have a good bit of separation between themselves and pretty good. They are consistent and not Wild fluctuations from day to day or tournament to tournament. There are a lot of -1 to -4 scores (per 18) being posted by girls still in HS at Junior events. Kai is not quite elite level for her age(close but not there yet) but is good enough to be able to summon up a respectable performance (respectable being sub 80)on 1 day of a pro event. Most elite girls/women from 16-22 could do it whether still in HS or playing in college.
I think her performance was really good for a girl not really considered elite level junior golfer. She handled the mental part very well which is probably why she was able to score 83,75. She didn’t seem to get rattled at all with the thoughts of “she didn’t belong on that stage” even though, in reality, she wasn’t at the level of golfer to be competitive on that stage.
There are a lot of junior golfers, 2-3 years younger than her who could do the same, if not better. And definitely a good deal of collegiate golfers that could go 75-80 ish over 3 days.
This probably wasn’t the case 2-3 years ago but there are girls in their mid teens coming through now who have been at it since they were 5-6 years old.
