Rick Shiels

Won’t be used on tour since apparently they feel like rocks around the greens but very interesting to see a legal ball with the simple technology it uses

"straight" as in helps it go straighter... Straight is not accurate.

I’ll hit this and post a review.

Spoiler alert: it won’t go straight.

Screw it. I just ordered some. I played about as bad of a round as possible yesterday. I need something to look forward to in the next round.

It doesn't say straight. It's says 20% straighter than the previous ball.
You'll still hit it in the woods, just 20% less curved into said woods.

I understand it’s not 100% straight, I’m more interested in the dimple pattern on a legal golf ball

Well, if it just carries into the woods, the 20% straighter effect will keep it in play.

20% can be significant. If you slice or hook 60 yards off target, these could shorten that by 10-15 yards. That alone could be enough to save a penalty stroke.

Of course, depending on feel around the green the trade off may not be worth it. I guess it just depends on your game.
