Yeah, the only way I'll go is if I have club access with AC.

Oh 100%.. and only if these tix are given to me. I’m not paying for that shite.

I love that I can play year round in Louisiana, but that stretch of late June to mid September absolutely sucks. Tee times as early as possible and be done before it becomes unbearable.

I'm a bit concerned that they didn't mention an overhaul of the driving range because it is god awful right now.

Imagine being upset that Jon Rahm, Bryson Dechambeau, Joaquin Niemann, Phil Mickelson, DJ, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Tyrell Hatton, Bubba Watson, Cam Smith, etc are coming to play golf in New Orleans

Imagine a state paying $7 million dollars to host a three day golf tournament at the end of June. Horrible investment and use of tax dollars.

It’s a multi year deal… they also paid $5M for a bowling tournament in the past

Is that true? I’m out of the country June 26-28 and was bummed I couldn’t watch this. Is this a yearly NOLA event now?

That’s the one part I can’t figure out. Yes bayou oaks is easy and blah blah but it’s always in good shape and LIV plays at some relatively easy places. Really not a concern IMO.

But the range is in absolutely no shape to host a professional golf tournament. If they don’t upgrade that I’ll be shocked.

Yes not sure of the details but they’ll be back in 2027, maybe 2028

The range course and clubhouse will all be upgraded. LIV is putting up some money also not sure how much This is great news for City Park which is a perfect location but the complex needed upgrades to host a professional tournament

Well, they said they're trying to grow the game. They're trying to reach a whole new demographic, the homeless beggars and street thugs. I can't wait to see who they will bring in for the concert. I can see it now, Bryson, Phil and Rham pumping up the crowd and then here comes out New Orleans own C-Murder and Mystikal

You sound highly intelligent. I’m not sure if you’ve been around bayou oaks recently, but the real estate in Lakeview isn’t exactly filled with the image you’re depicting.

I will admit, I'm ignorant as to the demographics of the neighborhood in which Bayou Oaks is located as I am not a resident of New Orleans. I was referring New Orleans as a whole. I'm quite sure the image I'm depicting is accurate as I have visited many times and have witnessed and interacted with said individuals on multiple occasions.

The ceo of city park said they will be redoing the range and putting in grass and making other course improvements

You're not very good at this.

And ZERO of them would be coming to New Orleans in 2026 if they played on the PGA Tour. Zurich got boned with the schedule

The Zurich needs to move, it’s a gimmick event on a boring course by Tour standards.

City Park hosting LIV is a joke and the state is subsidizing much of this. Louisiana giving the Saudis your taxpayer $ is a slap in the face to our real oil industry.

I shite on LIV because it’s a hokie league with washed players, but if I’m around in late June, I’ll probably take Junior to go watch Bryson for a day.

You just contradicted yourself. There’s probably about 12 “washed” guys out of 54.

Not all the players are washed it will be worth checking it out for a day. It is another nice event for New Orleans they should be announcing the CFP championship for Jan 2028 at Superdome It has been reported for many months but not officially yet
