With the amount of whining about the LIV from across the globe and every single media member seemingly against it, there's no doubt the PGA paid a handsome sum to push their narrative.
All of this tells me LIV is a bigger threat to them then originally thought and now I'm rooting for them to succeed

Antitrust court cases could possibly blow the pga’s shite out of the water.
Or might not.

I am shocked at how many people on this board are pro LIV. I have zero interest in watching a LIV tournament

I am not a fan of the Saudi's, but it is quite hypocritical when golfers like Rory and Tiger slam the LIV. 90% of all the clothes these two wear are made in China. The NBA has a working relationship with China, yet those who refuse to watch the LIV because of its backers, seat there and watch the NBA. China has as bad or worst historical records of violation of human rights than the Saudi's.

Don't mistake disgust at the coverage for support of LIV. I have no interest in it at all. I am just sick of every golf coverage show and every interview question being about it.

We don't want or need the damn government getting involved, they screw up everything they touch.

If these LIV players consider the LIV tour a legit tour, then how do they have an anti-trust case? By definition the LIV tour would be considered a viable alternative to the PGA Tour.

I enjoy watching the LIV more than PGA's typical event because the LIV coverage is just non stop golf with no commercials, random interviews, fluff pieces, etc. It is great. it wont last forever but I am going to enjoy it for now.

Also, the shotgun start is great as everyone is on the course at the same time the whole time. So whoever is playing well can be easily covered. On a typical PGA broadcast, someone who gets hot on an early round gets no coverage and during the broadcast if you arent in any of the "featured groups" they struggle to cover the hot golfer's every shot.

It all comes down to the PGA tour colluding with non-PGA events to try and blackball LIV players. If any of that gets near a court room, PGA is screwed.

Absolutely. Competition breeds better product all around. PGA is scared.

That is fine, but they claim the PGA Tour is a monopoly and file an anti-trust case.

If you cry about it, you'll probably feel better. Maybe you and pride can suck each other's thumbs.

Neither of these things has anything to do with the PGA Tour.

if you think the PGA Tour doesn't have anything with LIV players not obtaining OGWR points, you're naïve

What they want and what they have a right to are two very different things

I'm sure they're shouting from the mountain tops to the OWGR board to keep them from getting points. Monahan (PGA Tour) and Pelley (DP World Tour) are on that board, so I'm positive they're doing all they can to keep it from happening. But the OWGR has specific criteria that a tour has to follow to be able to get OWGR points that LIV doesn't meet, including only having 54 hole tournaments and not having the prerequisite 75 player fields. There are objective criteria that LIV doesn't meet, so excluding them would be justified.

Then dont, it will make the PGA borderline unwatchable afterwards. You will realize how little actual golf you get to see. LIV is almost non stop golf, if they get a few more big name players PGA may be fricked.
