As long as it is in bounds, not in a hazard, distance is an advantage especially to big hitters.

My 86mph swing ain’t gonna launch a 300+ drive which is just a reality.

Actually, the data shows that adding distance is a bigger advantage to shorter hitters. It doesn't matter if you can't hit it 300 as long as the driver is longer than you other clubs.

Of course, if you can't keep it on the planet, that changes things. However, people typically overestimate their accuracy of their 3wood or longer irons. They aren't much more accurate than the driver to make it worth it to give up the yards. However, each person's game is different. So, if someone is much more accurate with sub-driver and their numbers show that, then take less club when hazards are out there.

I'm getting my Miura cherry popped in a couple weeks. I'll let you know how they do.

Currently in Titleist driver, Callaway hybrids, T-200 irons, and vokey wedges.

Why not just hit 7 iron every time then? You'd hit even more fairways.

Because I’d have driver off the deck into the green.

I agree: “hit it as far as you can.”

My “far” ain’t far.

I only take driver out of my hands on rare occasions with a near boundary.

I think we all agree, “a long drive in play without obstruction is advantageous.”

I would be interested in your thoughts and what model.

My biggest concern is the shafts. I like playing high quality graphite iron shafts.

I don't care for the Recoils, lukewarm on Steelfibers and love the MMT.

What do you love so much about the MMTs?
I got fitted into them but it’ll be the first graphite iron shafts for me. Haven’t received them yet.

IMO the MMT shafts have the stability of steel but they are smooth and not harsh like the Recoils.

I have found them to be true to flex and they produce a tight dispersion.

A few years ago I had a tumor taken out of my left wrist, it created a small void and my wrist is not as tight as it once was so it can get sore from playing. I have experienced way less discomfort with the MMT graphite shafts, so I will be using graphite shafts going forward.

Good info.. I can’t wait to get them. When I was fitted they were definitely the best for my slow shitty swing. Looking forward to see how they perform long term for me.

It's funny how feel is so individual. I found the Recoils to be smooth and the SteelFibers to be more harsh. Golf be fickly.

Need to try the MMT's though. Diggin the Modus 120's at the moment however

Given the economic outlook over the next 18 months a bunch of companies involved in golf are gonna go out of business. I also think many courses will close. Inflation and tax hikes will eat up disposable income which is what fuels golf.

I got the gen 1s last year for like $600. I'll probably hit those for another 6-7 years. I hate those tour elevate shafts though. Going to have to get those switched out for S300s.
