Just got done at Beaver Creek. Hit my iron fat on 17 and barely cleared the water. Hit a high soft 60* exactly where I was aiming. One hop and in for birdie.

Day of ups and downs. Three birdies and four doubles.

235 to the flag on a par 5. I hit a 4i to 10 feet. It was very downwind. I missed the eagle putt

oh yeah, the green was soft. It actually plugged. If it had released, it would’ve had a chance. The ball never left the flag.

That’s golf

Played for the first time in 2 weeks today and at a course I haven’t played in 7-8 months (JS Clark in BR). Shot a 74 (+2) but cannot think of a great shot. I think that’s a good thing, because boring golf is good golf. I suppose my best shot was a 5 hybrid onto the back of the green on the par 5 9th, leading to a two putt birdie.

Can’t wait to play again.

I’ve been purring 5 woods lately which is just the best feeling. Slight fade 205-215.
Sometimes I hook it hard left.

Played my best round of the year Saturday and my first round in the red in almost 10 years.

I had been complaining on here about how I have been cold and went 4-5 rounds in a row in the 80's which was my worst streak in a while after being in the mid to low 70's consistently.

Well I dropped a solid 68 Saturday at Stonebridge. Ties my lowest round ever. Granted it was from the whites, so there's an asterisk with it but I don't care I was playing with a beginner and a senior so I was trying not to have our group play three different tee boxes.

Was actually +2 through 3 holes. Got it to even at the turn and dropped a 32 on the back.

Shot of the day was 2nd on the par 5 11th. Hit my drive in the left rough and muscled a 4 iron up to about 2 foot for a tap in eagle. It was tracking to the hole too.

Started the week off with a bang. A roller coaster round with a 35 footer for eagle on 7 you could read Titelist it was going so slow when it finally dripped over the edge, a kick in for birdie on 12, 6 bogies and somehow staggered in with a 73 on The Judge.

Yesterday BDCC. Sitting at 7 over needing par on 18 to break 80. I break 80 about once every 5 rounds so it still means the world to me.
Anyway had 150 to pin. But had to hook it to miss tree line. Hit it to 20 feet and made putt for 78. Lost $25 but went home happy.

Two by my 6 yo again this week.
Par 5 #1 drained a 20 ft birdie putt. Center cut and good thing he did because it would have been 15 ft past the hole.

Par 3 #6 over the water. Hits his tee shot what we thought was in the water. Skipped just over but in the hazard about a foot across the edge of the water in the stink with an uphill lie. Proceeded to Woody Austin his next shot but hit it right onto the middle of the green. He was devastated that his shoes were wet but laughed it off when I showed him the Woody Austin video.

Learning the game really quick just need to work on his putting speed a little. I’m having more playing with him and teaching him than anything.

44 fisking degrees this morning at tee off. Do not like cold weather. Somehow managed to scrape out a 37 on the front.

Good drive on #12, but slightly left in the first cut but a downhill lie. Straight downwind, 135. Warmer weather, PW. Today? Had been clubbing up and it had been paying off with good approach shots.

Decided to risk hitting wedge, knocked to a foot. Kick in birdie.

176 yard 5 iron never left the flagstick on #16 at Scenic Hills CC in Pensacola. Unfortunately the hole was playing 177. Made the birdie putt.

According to their website, Scenic Hills hosted a US Women’s Open. It must have been a while ago. But for less than $40, not a terrible course.

hooked a 3 wood off the tee, then topped a 7 iron that rolled onto the front, then made a 40 footer, uphill right breaker into the hole for a birdie...

junk like that is the only way I broke 90 today.

it was horrible...

#14 on carter playing about 153, slight breeze in the face. 7 iron landed within 5 feet and rolled downhill a few feet. Why I am listing it here is the ball was resting dead center in a freshly patched up cup position you can tell they had just moved

I had an offline shot hit a mound and roll to 2 feet today.

Luck may be my best skill.
