Looks like I always have my weirdest rounds at Beaver Creek. I will shoot a 40 on the front and +50 on the back. The last time I played, I shot a 51 on the front and a 42 on the back with a triple on 18. I just don't normally play the back well, especially 13. But this time after screwing up the front, didn't give a crap about the back and played better. Go figure.

Played Alex CC one afternoon with a friend. I shot 43 on the front. As we walked to the back, I tossed my driver into the bed of my truck. I shot 33 on the back.

Was the back nine a par 32?

I played at Spring Creek Ranch in Collierville TN once. Shot a 50 on the front 9 and couldn’t get out of my own way. Back nine shot par 36. That’s about as weird as they come.

Posted the same score. Shot a 50 on the front with a birdie on the 3rd eagle on the 5th hole, pretty much what seemed like all 8’s on the card otherwise. Lost balls, OB, shots in the water.

Made the turn and shot dead even, couldn’t do anything but hit the ball straight. Scored all pars. No birdies or bogies.

Strange day.

I’ve had days where I start out red hot piping balls down fairway and then around 7 everything goes to shite and then somewhere on the back 9 the driver is back to long and down the middle.

mainly lose strokes on a duffed chip or a chip just flying the green. I also lose some due to not holding up play looking for my balls.

If you can hit it 300 yards, all you need is a chipping lesson and some practice.

Also get more exact with how far your offline shots go. Most people look past where their ball went when it is offline.

Even with a 300 yard drive, a course from the tips seems short if you have “several” drivable par 4s.

Where to they make up the yardage? Is the total from the tips 6500?

I wish I could make the ball move 300 yards consistently? My longest drive is 340.

I rolled down a curbed cart path and hit a wedge into a par 5. Made putt for Eagle. Have not been on that green in 2 since.

Played the front 9 at Webb the other day and had 4 birdies and 5 bogeys. No pars.

Yesterday I shot an 86 at Pecan Valley in Fort Worth, but I was +10 on the front 9 and had a lot of lucky breaks and just played terrible. But then I shot +4 (one double that killed me) on the back 9 with some bad luck and horrible bounces which required scrambles that I couldn't pull off again if I tried. It was like a flip switched with how I played, and inversely my luck had a 180 as well and it did not reflect my score at all.

I was playing Selman in Monroe in the middle of the day on a week day during the summer. This was 15 years ago. I think the course has closed and I don’t live in the area anymore. We were on a hole near the main road and a car hit another vehicle coming the opposite way. One car ended up on the course right in front of us and the other in the road next to the hole. We ran to check on the people involved and the driver that was struck only had minor injuries but the driver that hit that car was still having a stroke which is what caused the accident. We called 911. It seemed like the ambiance took forever. We gave statements to the responding officers and decided to go to the parking lot to dink beer instead of finishing.

13 under after 15. Drivable par 4, short par 4, easily reachable par 5 left.

Got rained out, came back the next day, bogey, bogey, bogey to finish with a 62. Talk about hating the game for a little bit

The weirdest nine I ever played I took a 12 on the first hole, first three swings of the day were OB and I then birdied three of the next eight holes.

Atchafalaya…

38 on the front. Parred 10,11,12,13,14,15.

I was laying 2 left of the 16th green. I skulled my pitch across the green into the bunker on the other side. My ball lay in some bamboo shoots growing up through the bunker. Proceeded to lose my mind trying to get it out of the lie. Anyway… several swipes later, I hole out for a 10.

Finish bogey-par for an 80 after being +2 through 15

I had round with 7 birdies and still shot in the 80s. There were some spectacular blow up holes that day.
