So far. Ballsy shot by JT there. Zalatoris looks confident with his swing.

I said that before 17, didn’t think he’d hit driver on 18

Me either.
Great playoff, wasn’t lost. JT won it.

I couldn't believe he chose driver right there. One shot lead on the last hole of a major and you choose a club that can reach trouble. It's either inexperience or overconfidence...or a little of both.
JT definitely had to be favored in the playoff if only on experience alone. Been there done that. Good for him.

JT showed nerves of steal today. Kinda think playing all those practice/friendly rounds with Tiger helps with that. Imagine if your #1 golfing buddy was the GOAT.

Driver is the play. He needs par to win, his goal isn’t playing for a bogey to make the playoff. 3 wood off the tee would be in the creek if missed to the right as well. He didn’t hit the driver “too far”, he missed the driver to the right.
It’s a long par 4. Using a 3 wood off the tee is going to leave him 230-240 yards out needing to make a par. The best chance at par was a good drive with a medium iron to the middle of the green, not laying back with a 3 wood leaving a long iron to the green.
