For the first time in a while I love my 3 wood and hit it off the tee box pretty regularly.

Biggest thing for me was to use the exact same shaft as I use in my driver (just slightly lighter obviously). I want my 3 wood swing feeling exactly like my driver swing. I don't think I'll ever use different shafts in my driver and 3 wood ever again.

Yes, it's why I stopped carrying one and went with a 5 wood.. I've currently got a Qi10 tour 5wood and I've decreased the loft to 16.5.. technically it would be a 4w.. but a shorter shaft than standard 3w and a tad higher loft has worked out well so far..

That said, i will be taking the new Titleist GT woods for a spin when available..

Its my worst club but nothing feels better than when you catch a 3w on the screws.

One of the best things in golf is nutting a 3 wood.

Nothing like it.

I had a 13° Nike 3w I carried forever.. never hit it well.. but by gawd.. hitting a perfectly flushed shot was unreal

When do we call it a “brassy” or 2 wood?

Do manufacturers only use driver, 3,5,7,9 for the most part now?

I actually had a Callaway Steelhead 2 wood back in the 1990s.
4 woods were everywhere.

I even had a some vintage Bobby Jones woods that were labeled 3 1/2, 4 1/2.

Then i got worse and worse with every new club until i got into the ping g series. Love that flat head sitting on the fairway.

Agree with this. I have the G430 Max. The flat head is a confidence booster for sure.

There’s a reason pros stick with 3 woods for a long time. Once they find one, they hang onto it for dear life. I wish I would’ve never gotten rid of my old Sonartec back in the days of the Rocketballz. I could hit that thing off a root dead straight. Unfortunately I got caught up in seeking more distance.

Dropped my 3W for a 5W (more of a Strong 4). PING G425.

Qi10 3wood is an absolute game changer

This is 100% a fact. It’s super easy to hit.

Bopper- I’ve had the 3w blues since my old M2 died tragically. Qi10 is the answer. My only regret was not getting the high launch. It’s even easier to hit.

Yes. Ended up totally leaving the 3w out my bag in favor of a 17d Titleist utility hybrid. It's just more consistent for me with nearly the same length. It was a great decision for myself. I will hit the driver off the deck from time to time with mixed results if I'm honest.

Easiest to hit club I've ever owned. Off the tee. Off the turf. Amazing!

I going with you Chappy.

I picked up a Qi10 3HL 16.5 degree.

I'm going to put a VA Composites Vylyn Shaft in it.. I will post a pic of the after the reshaft, very cool shaft.

Dallas golf.

I was in a hurry, so it got to me in Sugarland in one day.

I had heard good things about VA shafts, so I put the VA BaddAzz shaft in my Heavenwood and it works.

Srixon ZX 3 wood

I added this to my bag first of this year. I went with strong 13.5* even flow riptide 6.0. On days when driver isn’t there for me this has kept my sanity through the round. The occasional mishit for me is a nasty hook that still shows up sometimes. It does sit slightly closed at address, more than I’d prefer but I’m trying an experiment soon with some lead tape on the toe to try and correct that for me. Good luck! Srixon makes some great clubs in my opinion

All the time. Right now u have a UW 17 degree in the bag. For some reason I tend to pull hook the shite out of my 3 wood lately. It’s either nuked or a pull hook. Maddening

Yeah.. it was a a 3 wood in label alone...

It was a rocket off the tee, but a pain in the arse to hit from the fairway..
