I never get these huge guys with massive strength. Sure they have a lot of muscle but are in terrible cardio health. When they stop lifting all the shite turns to fat and now they are obese and can’t support their own body weight.

Seems like a cool party trick though

I'd be laying on the couch with a thrown out back for the next 6 months.

Steinborn squat. How guys used to get under a barbell before racks were thought of. It’s making it way back into the strongman world.

It’s actually really not that hard to do. I’m done it with 225 very easily. It’s a little tricky to get the bar centered, but once you get the hang of it, no big deal.

But why? What are you training for or accomplishing by doing this?

It would be strictly because it’s in a competition. It’s not a necessary lift in terms of training the squat. Some people just like doing old timey shite, but it’s mostly done in comps now.

I encourage most people to get fat because the fatter you are the more determination you will have to get healthy again. I find it’s best to rotate in cycles of being fat and skinny, one year be fat, next year go on diet and exercise, following year get fat, etc. Very easy to cycle like that.

No, what happens to these big dudes in their 60s and 70s. That shite turns to fat because they are used to eating 4000 cals and now they aren’t maintaining the muscle like they once were.

What happens to cardio bunnies that keep eating the same calories and not exercising?

I was a competitive power lifter in high school. I’ve never seen this. Is this some CrossFit nonsense? Seriously. What competitions is this included in?
