PPSA: April Program Party Vote
Posted on 3/20/23 at 8:25 pm
Posted on 3/20/23 at 8:25 pm
Okay so we have been wandering in the wilderness since everyone ran Strongville in January. I know there is a lot of interest in us all running the same PPSA program again in April, so that means we have to vote on a plan to run! Since our fearless leader lsu777 is on hiatus due to choosing to be Amish for Lent, I’m going to go ahead and start the thread. Put your vote in here and I will go back and tally everything. If I missed a program let me know pretty quick and I can add it. I’m stealing his verbiage from the Jan vote thread with some new additions
3 day Programs-
#1- PPSA The Seesaw - LINK
Squat and Bench everyday in the seesaw fashion from squatober & in example. snatch grip deads 1x per week.
its bench/squat + 2 more main exercises + arm superset + single movement cardio
#2 PPSA Superset Remastered LINK
all 3 main lifts 3x per week. 4 pairs of supersets + cardio superset
#3 Turnt Up- LINK
This full body plan has a particular rep scheme total for each day with everything done in supersets. Monday is 250 rep Strong, Wednesday is 375 Rep Stout, and Friday is 500 Rep Swolt.
4 Day per Week
#1 - PPSA Big Back Billy LINK
Newest PPSA program. Has squats, bench all 2x per week. Lots of back work including deadlifts with an interesting rep schemes for bench and squat. Example from bench: 12@60%, 10@65%, 8@70%, 6@75%, 4@82%, 12@62%).
#2 PPSA Silverback Remastered- LINK
Deadlifts, squats, bench all 2x per week. This program is a little higher intensity % wise and less volume than Strongville but otherwise similar. Very good for later in a cut when energy is getting low. Its 2 lifts + superset + arm superset for cardio
#3 Hypertrophy remastered - LINK
bench/squat/deads/chins- 2x per week. either bench _+ deads as main or SS of Squats + chins. then 1 lift + superset + arm SS for cardio
#4 PPSA Meat Wagon Remastered- LINK
squats, bench, OHP all 2x per week; deadlift, RDL, and snatch grip 1x week. There’s a fair amount of auxiliary leg work with RFESSes and hip thrusts.
5 Day per week
#1 Brick House Remastered LINK
This program looks tough and probably long given the amount of sets of strength work. It’s a 5 Day program with a lot of volume and intensity and it’s full body every day. It looks like you have a lot of variety of the daily leg work (squats, front squats, RFESS, hip thrusts, and RDLS) deadlift and bench 2x a week, and the cardio is a gnarly arse 4 exercise superset that usually involves loaded carries x2.
#2 Elbow Meat LINK
This is a 5 day Upper body focused program that has the big Shoulders like Boulders quad superset, a variety of grip work, and soul suckers (close grip bench 21s) that we did in Big Bench for Christmas.
UPDATE: since we have a popular write in, here is a bit about Pool Season
4 day workout that has Big Bench Monday, Strong Back Tuesday, Bif Squat Thursday, and a big Pump Fridays. Cardio focuses on a single body part but changes up through the program (Sun’s out guns out, backaems U, trap city, shoulders like boulders, etc) bench and squat 2x a week, deadlift 1x, and a lot of shoulder work and upper body pumps.

ETA with my vote.
Big back billy for me.
DB strength does legs every day and I have enjoyed that aspect.

Arm farm + super squats
Hear me out guys super squats is pretty cool. And so is arm farm
I’m sure y’all will choose something like group trap fap instead of gaining 30 lbs of muscle in 6 weeks though

We're planning on starting 4/3?
Can we do rank voting?!? Hard to make a decision. Picking only one, going with Silverback.

I guess so? We can either start beginning of April (4/3) or after Easter (4/10) if a lot of people are off/traveling Easter break.
I may try to run whatever is chosen with 2 of the days being Sat/Sun to have more flexibility at work. My weekends are a lot less busy than weekdays are.

4/3 would better for me.
I will piecemeal workouts for next week. Maybe run some old squatober workouts.

I will have to go through our old thread to find them. He took down all the post on the squatober IG page.
