When I was in the office, preferred to go to the gym before work. Felt much better work up a sweat and shower after. Now that everything is WFH, I’m a bit more flexible and I’ll go around 10:30, which is a couple hours after I eat breakfast.

I’ve never liked going after work. At that point, I’m ready to settle with a good, home-cooked meal.

While I was working from home I fell in love with 11:30am runs. Would go shirtless and get a great tan. Those sadly ended three weeks ago after returning to the office. Still hit them up on Saturday however. I weight lift at home around 7pm, or any time on the weekends.

5:15am. 4 days a week. Good way to get the day going. Not crowded, and always the same few people. Wife and kids still asleep, so not missing anything with them. Avoids afternoon and evening rushes.

I hear around 8am is good too as it's still early enough to avoid people that don't work traditional hours but late enough to miss people trying to get in before work, but I work traditional hours.

2pm. I’m retired. Less people in the gym. I threw away my alarm clock.

Same. One month old. It’s been very tiring - very tough. Haven’t missed a workout but twinged my back just stretching yesterday and I’m sure it’s due to lack of sleep.

Was a 4am guy due to kids and work.

Now more of a 6am routine due to new job and kids being older. I do try to get 2 afternoon runs in a week.

I do 3 sessions a day that basically break down like so:

Strength training at 4am

Midday calisthenics or run

Evening martial arts training

I used to love doing my midday sessions at the gym for strength, but in effort to save money i canceled all gym memberships and workout at my home gym now. Plus my gf can’t workout midday, so we get to do it together at 4am

Evenings after work. No matter how many times I try, I can't get my arse out of bed at 3am to lift before work
