what? the dline is loaded with experience from the portal and young talent coming in the spring out of high school.
not the least bit concerned with d line. the freshman are starter quality in year one

How can anyone just assume the offensive line will be crap? Especially without even knowing how it will shape out. I'm just not understanding. Completely new coaching and potentially the players you kept are more veteran and you add potentially better players.
You go all in every year IMO. Ole Miss lost their starting QB and still made this run. They assumed this was going to be a down season. How can anyone assume the line will be bad again when a lot of their offensive coaches are here now? I don't get that.
And then what happens after next season if you lose your DC and a bunch of defensive players as well? Or if you lose both OC and DC. I recognize Lane is awesome and runs his offense, but that could be a lot to break in at once.
So, I just don't agree with the idea of patience for guys to develop if they are so challenging to keep every offseason. And everybody is dealing with it, so I think you can contend even next season with the right talent evaluations and players added. I don't get just assuming next year is some kind of rebuild. I'm not saying they will make a run, but I am also not ruling it out, because of what this team just did under Brian Kelly. And then a ton of those guys are gone.

Indiana made it to the playoffs in year one under their new coach.
They played an absolute garbage schedule last yr. No way they would have done that in the SEC,
Next yr we play Ole miss, Texas A&M, Alabama, Texas….the two aren’t even close to apples to apples.

Safest bet is Leavitt if he is healthy for summer and fall and can run full out from beginning of season on. No way to know that 100% so it’s a crap shoot on better combo

I want Clark mainly I like his attitude/potential so either combo works

Give me Duece Knight all day over Longstreet.

What happened with Indiana then? 3-9 and 1-8 in conference in 2023. Fast forward one season and a new coaching staff and they put up an 11-2 season and 8-1 in conference. Also, made the playoff. Seems like they didn’t need 2 years. So why will it take LSU at least 2 years in your opinion?

Longstreet is not coming to be a backup
He’d stay at usc if that’s the case
