Who's going to tell him the plays and the playcaller isn't there anymore?

If rumors of Sark heading to NFL were true, it opens the door for some really crazy stuff. One thing about it, the recruiting board has never been this lit.

There was never any indication that LSU even contacted Williams.

quote:We didn't have to say anything to Leavitt, good or bad.
again in their head people are assuming we told leavitt to frick off during the visit when willliams declared back in the portal
This isn't that difficult.
quote:It's more likely that all that happened while we were hosting Leavitt?
it's more likely leavitt made it clear he wasn't signing before taking more visits and offers. LSU tried to pivot so we didn't have to wait this out and come away with no one, didn't work out but the line of thinking wasn't wrong or impulsive.
That's funny

Yeah I think it's pretty likely that we went all out to get Leavitt to commit and his camp refused. Not sure why you're chuckling like that's a wild scenario vs. having him locked up to suddenly dropping him mid visit to chase after williams....so not really sure what you're loling out. Your scenario is pretty fricking stupid

BIG drop off from Chambliss

Bilj, I kinda don’t care if we patchwork QB in 2026. Kiff isn’t on a 1 year deal, we have time to recruit a HS QB, develop someone, hit next years portal cycle
I don’t care if we don’t make the CFP in year 1
Maybe I’m crazy

Longstreet could give you a bit of both if you can get his attention
The D on paper should be damn good, so he doesn't have to come in and light it up from the jump.

So should we allocate a couple million bucks to a guy we don't like but want to win headlines?
Man I’m just freaking out (prematurely) that we haven’t signed a single QB yet and now Mascona says that we have missed on our first 4 wants.

I like the young man.. looks the part.. played well in limited action.. at the end of the day there are QBs out there lane and Weiss can develop..

Don’t see why he’d go there if we offer - the offense he’s being watching and wanting to be a part of will be in Baton Rouge in 2026

I’m curious how this works out NIL/ rev share budget wise
Chambliss has signed a contract for top dollar, but has been ruled ineligible. He will more than likely file suit, which I would think would not be resolved one way or the other before the portal closes.
So Ole Miss needs to go get another QB who I’m sure is gonna want good money to come.
So say Ole Miss signs Knight and commits good money to him, but Chambliss eventually wins his case. Wouldn’t that blow the allowed max budget? Ole Miss can’t afford to wait. They have to sign a QB, unless they get some sort of injunction

Panicking and taking the first QB you find is how you end up with a mediocre program with misfit players that end up transferring anyway.
They’ve been linked to him for a while. It’s obvious that if Chambliss was denied eligibility, he would go there. If he got another year, he’d go elsewhere. They were all just waiting on the decision.

Not so fast my friend!!
1.ole miss filed an appeal for Chamblis. Will drag in for weeks
2.Lagway still taking visits, one to Ole Miss
3.deuce sat one year not gonna fo it again
