If those recruits didn’t look around and see a golden opportunity to contribute as a freshman, I don’t know what other selling point they need. Pickett would be our #1 corner this year as a 17 year old

Pickett starts day 1 easily. Hell, Aaron Anderson is our best DB right now

There is a very real chance 2 true freshmen are starting at boundary cb next year. Pickett and Phillips are immediately the best athletes in the room. Very real chance Charles Ross starts next to weeks day 1 as well. We’re badly missing sideline to sideline speed next to weeks

Having this line of thinking may get those top recruits, and get some to flip. They should see an opportunity to be 3 year starters which would immediately put them in the 1st round of NFL draft if they play up to their potential

PJ Woodland is going to make huge strides in Year 2, but I agree the freshman will see a ton of PT.

Stamps has also come a good ways in his development. He played great vs OM and Arkansas. He seems like he wound benefit from a move inside. That could be a nasty secondary.

He could stay and play another season (and it would be smart for the staff to pay him to for his experience), but I think most believe he goes on to the draft. As well as he has played this season, his stock will rise.

Almost all these kids coming in the next class can and will contribute. Hell Underwood might even start

Not with dumbass Kelly who has continually played Major Burns, Sage Ryan, and Jardin Gilbert.

Results be damned, we must play the guys with experience. Regardless of how terrible they are.
