Lane's gonna find the next Burrow or Chambliss. Even if LSU settles for plan B this year, long term I'm not worried about the QB position. And Plan B under Kiffin will be better than Plan A+ under Kelly and Sloan.

I'd like to sign Leavitt if we can but I trust LK's judgment. We don't know how his injury will affect his future performance and frankly, I'm not sure about his attitude. Lots of pictures at the game where you could tell Lane was annoyed and the kid was on his phone, not being present. It's an interview, for goodness sake. If I were interviewing a promising college kid for a very important job and he kept scrolling his phone that would tick me off. It was also troubling to see that he may have acted similarly at UT.
Now, Leavitt can remedy that but I don't know if he will.

spend 7 max on all 3 qb you sign. No one in the portal is worth 7 million alone. Leavitt will just be reinjured and LSU will probably sign a contract that he gets paid even if he is injured. So he sits out the LSU season, gets 7 million and then declares for the draft. This guy is a taker and not a player LSU wants any part of. No Leavitt!!

He doesn't. LSU "fans" better prepare for a 7-5, 8-4 season while Lane builds a roster. Yes, it could be better, but this could be worse case scenario. If Leavitt has 2 years left, then fine, but if he is one and done, no.
