This exactly. That QB is no bueno.

If he/his backup were somewhat decent, they'd have won that game.

Well the year is basically over. He couldn’t enroll now anyway unless it was for next semester.

No they must be incorrect. JaMarr Chase is the best receiver from the 2018 recruiting class.

LSU can’t take a grad transfer not a normal transfer.

Did Fields sit at Ohio State?

Did Shorter graduate?
Did someone call Shorter a racial slur?
Did his coach get the team put on bowl ban?
Does he have an immediate family member on death bed in South LA?

If the answer is no to all those questions and to all those along the similar line of rationale, then HE WILL SIT OUT ONE YEAR.

AND he would cost a scholly spot in this class unless he sits out the year and pays his own way (like Michael Williams).

These issues usually go deeper than football.

Why do you say shite like this. If he can’t get on the field at Penn St, why should we take a flyer on him and push someone out that has the potential to be a stud. If things don’t work out and we are not at 25 then yes he’s worth a shot in the class. The last person we got from Penn St. never saw the field for us

that sounds insane.

perhaps they can't take a grad transfer because of what happened, but to say they can't take any transfers seems impossible.

now whether LSU wants to make room is another thing.

i would probably pass here given the receivers coming in and he'd have to sit a year any ways.

Yet somehow Bama brings in 28 every year.

Believe this only applies to senior transfers eligible immediately.

Before you mention pushing Koy out just think about the reason Justin Shorter wants to leave Penn St. He can't get on the field because his numbers are not good, 2 years 15 rec 157 yards, c'mon man

He is Penn State's version of Tyson Johnson.

Not necessarily true. With the way LSU coaches are making the receivers use the jugs machines and the amount of passing could change everything.

To the best of my knowledge, Penn State isn't using their wide receivers or passing game very effectively

I’d be shocked if he transferred to LSU. Next year we will have the best receiver in college ball, Jamar Chase, and Terrace Marshall. Plus Trey Palmer, and Racy, not to mention four superstar talents as freshmen. The guy wouldn’t play next year, and the following year those freshmen will be in their second year (like Marshall and Chase this year). Plus Arik will likely be used as a TE/WR hybrid.

Why is he leaving?

He can't catch a cold. Stepping off the bus he looks like he's going to dominate and then he'll drop two passes in the first quarter that hit his facemask and you'll never hear from him again.

PSU only has one receiver worth a damn and ever game I've watched (4-5) the announcer will talk about how they need someone else to step up and the coaches want/expect it to be Shorter. Sounds like they are giving him every opportunity because they can't beat elite teams without him playing well, but he's just been disappointing.

If Shorter can't get on the field at Penn State then he sure as hell isn't coming to LSU. LSU's depth chart is going to scare away WRs who don't have the chest.

No thank. we have some good WRs who will still be here and some coming in too so no need for him.
