Well this one has a Gm that just built a monster on a budget, a head coach that is actually paying attention to who he wants and an upgraded staff.
So there might be bust but I’d say it’s less likely considering Lane isn’t busy sleeping or golfing

he arrived LATE with distracted coaches, some of whom were coaching a playoff team. what he's been able to pull together quickly is nothing short of phenomenal.
I do think folks need to temper the enthusiasm a tad... this team may still very well have holes / gaps. but give the man more than a few weeks and I'm sure we will be looking at 2027 as a bonafide contender.

He’s done really well. It just shouldn’t be compared to other years when no one has found an accurate way to rank transfer portal players

Yes. Nice job Coach. We had a good portal haul last year too. Coach, please make this one translate on the field. We Tigahs can't handle another year like we had under CBK.

Wow! If we can close with another OL or 2, this portal class is just unbelievable. A driven coach is so, so refreshing vs. the retired-in-place BK years!!! Great job coaching staff!

Absolutely. There is too much “former 4 star” tied to these kids. And a kid like Landen Clark is going to get saddled with a mid-3 star grade because he was a 0 star recruit. MVB is rated higher. Ditto Ja’Quan Sprinkle. Somehow he’s rated below Paul Mubenga and DJ Chester. I trust our coaches to know better having told those former players to kick rocks while actively recruiting our new players.
What’s exciting to me is that as well regarded as our portal class is, I think there is a better chance that it is underrated than overrated.
