In an unrelated (?) bit of news, a piece came out just 6 hours ago from the Clarian Ledger stating...
"An NCAA case manager reportedly told Ole Miss there was "sufficient proof" for the waiver."
This was also backed up by Chambliss' lawyer.
So the speculation by everyone on Tigerdroppings that Chambliss would become eligible the day after they lose just might be true
Given the reasons Pavia was given a waiver for this season I always thought Chambliss would get one. It sucks because I think Ole Miss offensive players will want to run it back together.

Pavia and Chambliss are not the same situations

"Going to be an amazing day!!!"
You GEAUX Coach. Single file, no cutting in the line please, plenty of $$$ to go around OM players. All aboard the Lane Train!

His draft stock may never be higher than what it is now. He gone!

This has been reported previously. Apparently some case manager told them they needed proof, they got "proof", but there's some other issue. Ole Miss is clinging for dear life onto this because they're grade A fricked if Chambliss doesn't come back.

This, Chambliss needs to go pro. However seeing that these guys are making more in college than those rookie contracts, he may just want to make a quick $5mil then go pro next year

I never said they were the same. I said Pavia was granted a waiver when he really had no business getting one.

Doubt hes spending good money on a lawyer to get more eligibility just to jump to the NFL.

Neither deserve one, IMO

Does anyone know if Chambliss and Lacy signed “contracts” to return to OM, or just verbal commitments?

How would he know? Unless he was talking to players when he wasn’t supposed to
Why is it so hard for some people to grasp the concept that it is the agent's job to talk to people and that they can talk to anyone at an time? It is their job to handle this crap.

Which is my point. The NCAA has had nails clipped by congress.
I really wouldn’t be surprised if they granted Chambliss a waiver even though there’s no real reason he should get one.
