The ones to watch will be benge, beck and Fontenot
Benge had a decent line in summer ball
Beck and Fontenot could be two that look for more playing time if they got dsa designation

We got a 2026 commit a couple hours ago. Luke Tucker, an infielder from Texas.

What’s our way too early 2026 draft predictions
Like who stays and who signs?

I couldn't find too much on him. I believe he is a late riser from TX. Previously committed to Arkansas State. The numbers didn't stand out but they could be outdated. 6.92 in the 60. Arm velocity on the infield 85 mph. Average exit velocity 94mph. Hit .376 as a junior.
He does have really good size 6'4" and 210lbs. Bats left, throws right. I'm thinking left handed bat that can play 3B with power potential based on his size.

Malachi Washington and Anthony Murphy will be difficult to hold on to.
I'm wondering if CJ Weinstein and Cooper Sides see any bump from transferring to Orange Lutheran. They're joining a couple other highly thought of guys that could lead to a bump for all of them as they all get seen more. Especially Sides, who left a relatively remote town a couple hours north of Sacramento to go to one of the most heavily scouted areas in the country.

It is a bit hard to tell this early. This time last year most would've said Paz and Serna wouldn't make it to campus, but some guys like Hodge and McKenzie would've been likely to come. A lot changes over a year!

Need to add Luke Tucker to the front page

Was out the last 2 days. Front page edited.
With Project's blessing, I will start a new thread for 2026 just before the start of the new academic year which is August 25. I assume Jay will hold a presser that day. I think that is what has happened the last 2 years, correct me if I am wrong or if there has been a date announced already for his presser.

I'm just a participant now
But that's when I was turning them over. There will probably be a flurry of activity before then but it's still a good time to hit the reset button.
We went several years without starting new threads at different points. But now with the portal, it blows up the thread every year.

Paul Gervase got traded to the Dodgers and Hunter Feduccia to the Rays in a three way trade that included the Reds.

Feduccia should see some actual MLB time with the Rays. They've dumped their starter and what would probably be their 3rd catcher at the deadline

Last year Jay held his PC on the Wednesday of the first week of school. So sometime around then again I’d guess.

Which freshman are we expecting to contribute to next year’s team
Are we expecting harden to play a role?

UCLA might be the best team in baseball
LSU vs UCLA 2026 natty series would be epic

That’s a bummer. They are going to be so good and run through the big 10.

Anything ever materialize on where they plan on playing their home games next season?
