Good kid. worked hard.

Looks like he got touched against OM/MSU but shut Miami down.

Baseball America updated their 2026 Draft Rankings. They kept it at a top 100, I thought they were going to expand it to 200. Here are the LSU relevant guys:

5. Derek Curiel (up from 9)
23. Logan Schmidt (up from 84)
57. Steven Milam (up from 71)
67. Cooper Sides (down from 60)
83. Malachi Washington (down from 43)

CJ Weinstein (from 97), Wessley Roberson (from 87), and Nathaneal Davis (from 94) all dropped out of the top 100. This is the third ranking they've done. Jake Brown was 68 in the first one but has not been ranked since.

Devastating news for Tennessee, but very happy for Tony. He seems like a likable guy. He’s a great coach and can’t blame him for taking that opportunity.

Coincidentally, I no longer have inside information on Tennessee baseball.

That’s ok. We won’t need it anymore.

Thank you for your service.

I never really had a problem with him as a coach. A few of his players on the other hand..

All I'll say is Woodward better do everything he can to keep Jay happy.

Me either. He actually seems like a decent guy.

My only gripe has been with some of their fans but that’s not his fault.

He’s damn sure an outstanding coach and talent evaluation guy. They will miss him.

I figured you had ties to him or his dad or something given the area you’re in. Appreciate all the work on the recruiting thread.

Do you happen to know what recruits may be back in play now?

The biggest one to me is Gary Morse. He's at Orange Lutheran with two LSU commits and we were after him pretty hard. I'd have to look back at some of the others.

the Curry kid from San Diego along with Morse is interesting to me giving Jays west coast ties.

Re-replying to this because I got a phone call.

If the AD has his way, every recruit will be in play.

Oh wow. He’s really looking to hire from outside right now? Is it true he and Tony didn’t get along or is that just message board chatter?
