I read somewhere that there are still well over 1,000 players in the portal, and many (most?) won't get offers. Actually, it's not totally insane to offer some of them a walk-on spot. Doesn't cost anything, and you might find a diamond among all the trash.

I can still sling it 50, maybe 52 with a lil wind, playing in the real death valley would be really cool. Who's coming with me? Lol

on3 has 3200+ entered the portal... 1800+ committed, 36 withdrew...
yeah, there will be a lot of guys regretting their decisions... they have a while to actually pick a school, but some guys who thought they were going to get a big bag, are going to end up at a much worse program, in a much lower tier of CFB, and there's no one to blame but themselves (and maybe some of the "advisors" around them)

Two things: 1) I predict this is Dabo's last year coming up at Clemson. He refuses to change with the times even I have sympathy for his position 2) there will be no walk-ons. Everyone who puts on a football uniform must be on scholarship now.

Everyone now has 105 spots maximum, which can be all scholarship players. So unless they want to save money by having walk ons then there is no point. I guess they do.
