Well this is a problem considering this kid signed a contract
That contract means absolutely nothing.

Catching up now
Definitely seems unenforceable. Cant enter the portal? The NCAA allows that.
Am not a lawyer though. Are you? Serious question

If so, can we get a Philly perma ban please.

Wonder if we tried or was able to do any sorta medical evaluation. Maybe he refused and we moved on.

He followed Eugene Wilson shortly after his announcement

I dont know anything about recruiting, but as a casual... I know what I would advise a recruit to do in this situation. Go to all of your visits, don't sign anything, and watch your offer creep up to a max then sign late -- sort of like Sorsby did. That LSU visit likely netted him an extra 1.5MM. I think the schools are leveraging the same way by courting several top QB's. Hedging their bets and keeping the NIL number from getting out of control.
Every signing seems to reset the market, so I wouldn't read too much into Leavitt leaving without signing since he still has visits scheduled. Its a new age.

Any insight into who it will be? You stood firm during coaching change and you were dead on
I've talked to my source some. He said recruiting / portal is a completely different animal and since it changes by the minute nothing is ever really confirmed until it is.
He said - same as the news outlets that LSU hoped to land either Sorsby, Leavitt, Chambliss, Brown, Lagway, Simmons, or now Williams.

He was never coming here

I think he is taking all of his visits before he makes a decision. Some schools may go in another direction.

3 o'clock report from On3
quote:
On3 continues to hear that the No. 1 ranked player in the Transfer Portal in former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt continues to have a great visit to LSU. Leavitt arrived on campus on Monday and we gave the rundown on day one here.
Tuesday was more good conversations with Lane Kiffin and the coaching staff. He got a chance to look at the Virtual Reality simulator the LSU program has in place to better prepare their quarterbacks for game day.
Leavitt toured the campus, the facilities, Baton Rouge and hung around some of the players. Sources indicate the Tigers remain in prime position to land Leavitt.
Leavitt still needs to meet with General Manager Billy Glasscock. His visit will continue into Wednesday.
Kentucky is out of the equation for Leavitt. We’ll see if Miami makes a move. But as it stands now, Pete Nakos and I continue to like where LSU stands with Leavitt.
