The best season OM has had in 98% of their fans lives and they have no banner to hang, didn’t play for a meaningful championship (SEC or CFP), and the key architect of their success (LK) left them high and dry to their biggest rival and has in short order built the top portal class in the country.

Been a wild ride for Ole Miss fans…
You win two playoff games, including a fluke upset over playoff favorite UGA, and suddenly you think “who needs Lane?” In between games you lock down the roster so Lane can’t pillage it setting up to run it back next season, and you’re sitting on a late 4th-quarter lead against a Miami team that looked completely fricking dead.
Then it all comes crashing down
Miami drives the length of the field on your new head coach’s defense like it’s a walkthrough, takes the lead, and since then it’s been nothing but an endless buffet of shite. Players bolting, staff falling apart, momentum gone, vibes dead — Lane reversed the car to run over the program one more time to make sure it’s dead
I’d feel bad for them if Ole Miss fans were remotely likable people

Over the past 2 mos I’ve watched a lot of the Locked on Ole Miss podcast. The host has survived two brain tumors. I’m happy about that. And I didn’t know him before, but he really does struggle at times making cohesive, consistent takes.
Above all he has absolutely ZERO objectivity when it comes to OM. And he’s completely eaten up by all the LSU superiority talk. While it looks genius, he picked OM to beat UGA when no one else was. Good call. But when he picked OM to “blast” (his words) Miami, he just comes across as a 14 year old fan more than anything.
This guy spouts a lot of stuff as fact that is clearly him just throwing shite at the wall because he’s melting.
Can’t wait to watch on the ride to work. Will be fun to watch him next September.
