He camped at LSU, Alabama and Texas A&M and got offers there, he was that impressive. Those were camps in between his freshman and sophomore years too.

Mans has a cannon for an arm and deadly accuracy for a sophomore in HS.. only "issue" i can see in his highlights is a tendency to stick on his 1st read. This is of course a minor issue when looked at with all his talent. Im excited to see what he can do in his junior season and to (hopefully) join the good guys

So what am I missing? I'm looking at his offer list, which is very impressive, but not seeing an offer from LSU even though you said he camped at LSU.

I think there is some confusion as to whom Lester Earl was referring. The thread got off topic when ColeLSU asked about the Acadiana DB, Laterrance Welch. After I shared Welch's profile, ColeLSU responded saying that he had an impressive offer list, and that it was the first he ever heard of him. Lester responded (I believe still thinking that Howard was being discussed) saying that [Howard] hasn't even started a game.
Point being - Welch started at CB for Acadiana last year and does NOT have an LSU offer. Howard has not started a game yet, but does have an offer.

I don't believe he would commit this early and it not be LSU.

Probably because QBs have an accelerated recruiting timeline compared to the other positions.

I am ALWAYS leery of a QB who puts incomplete passes on his highlight reel. See "Sophomore Highlights" at the 2:33 mark. It's a simple curl route. Sure it was a good pass but the receiver dropped it. And he wasn't under duress or anything. Just a quick three drop to a stationary target 9 yards downfield. Why include it?

Sure would be nice if we had someone who knew some inside info and shared it with the board regularly. I miss Vol.
